The text currently in this article mostly relates to feudal baronies or baronies by tenure, which I would suggest should be merged into English Feudal Baronies. There is however still a need for this article with the simple title "Barony", which can separate out feudal baronies from baronies by writ and modern titles of "baron", with a general discussion of the topic. There are/used to be baronies in France (see the French article) which is the source for the title in the UK. And of course countries like Denmark (lens)baron and Sweden also used the baron title.
