Name edit

The article currently states: In 2007, the BBC changed all of the BBC Radio logos, and all stations are called "BBC Radio..." This was first seen when the DAB names were changed.

Although it is true that the logos of all BBC radio stations currently include the phrase "BBC Radio", this does not mean that "1Xtra" has changed its name. The station refers to itself on air and in print as "1Xtra" or, sometimes, "BBC 1Xtra" but never as "BBC Radio 1Xtra" (my italics). The name displayed on DAB radios, by the way, is "BBC 1Xtr". "1Xtra" did not change its name either when the logos were redeisgned in 2007 or when the former "BBC 7" became "BBC Radio 7" in 2008. I therefore propose moving the page to BBC 1Xtra (and making the relevant alterations to associated pages and templates). -- Picapica (talk)

Have made the appropriate changes to the article. Requesting a move. -- Picapica (talk) 12:25, 8 January 2009 (UTC) Maybe it's changed by now, but they do say "BBC radio one extra".-- DasRakel  〒  12:58, 15 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Logo added edit

I know that the logo added to the infobox was in good faith, but it is out of date (I know) and therefore could be seen as innacrate. The actual logo has the 'Xtra' bit smaller and higher up as seen on the website here. Rafmarham (talk) 17:09, 27 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

  • @CCCC10: if you're going to keep reverting the lead image back to this one, you're going to need to apply a better licence to the file you uploaded, as it's going to be deleted. You should at least take part in the deletion discussion on Commons. Cnbrb (talk) 19:19, 11 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
