A photo of Asael Bielski would be a welcome addition to this article. Das Baz, aka Erudil 19:33, 7 March 2009 (UTC)

The article says the Bielski brothers collaborated with the Soviets which explains certain hostility from the Poles. What exactly did they do? Cema (talk) 22:51, 9 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

They accepted the Soviet rule and became local officials for example. Such people, not only Jews, became Soviet informers and spies.--Jacurek (talk) 23:04, 9 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Pronunciation edit

"pronounced uh-soil"? Really? --Dweller (talk) 16:34, 16 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Early life edit

This article states that Asael is the "fourth oldest boy" and "older than Zus". If the birth years are accurate between the various articles for each brother, then Asael is the second oldest (as implied later in this article under the heading "Asael in History and Film"). 66.78.68.141 (talk) 20:57, 7 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Navahrudak/Nowogródek edit

Authors, please coordinate with one another's work! The "Early life" section lists the city near Bielski's hometown with the Belarusian version of its name, while the next section "World War II" uses the Polish version linked to the same Wikipedia article. I'm not knowledgeable about this area of the world but to help readers I'm adding the alternate name in parentheses in the first paragraph. Billfalls (talk) 02:47, 9 July 2013 (UTC)Reply
