What does the phrase 'in da house' mean? (Generally, not in the context of the movie)

In da house means in the vicinity. It's hard to explain, but in a general simplistic context it would go something like -
Ebonics: Yo RikkyC is in da house!
Formal: Hey everyone, RikkyC has arrived.
Generally it means "in the place" or "in the vicinity". --Rikkyc 08:27, 26 September 2006 (UTC) RESPECT —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.55.72.57 (talk) 20:31, 15 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

There's also a pun in the fact the the plot puts Ali G in the UK Government, where they meet in the House of Commons. BigFatKnowAll (talk) 07:51, 17 July 2009 (UTC)Reply
