New article clean-up edit
I edited for style, but not for substance. By the evidence presented so far, AdultVest is only notable for being either the first (as claimed) or only (in which case "first" is hype) company specializing in sex industry related investments. If neither is true, this article should probably be tagged (and possibly deleted) per {{notability}} guidelines in WP:CORP.
Removed {{advert}} tag. Retaining {{balance}} tag because content appears to be from promotional sources, but I've excised market-droid language and repetition as best I could.
Removed wikilinks for the individual funds per Recommendations for products and services: "Information on products and services should generally be included in the article on the company itself". / edgarde 23:52, 7 March 2007 (UTC)
January 2009 edit
Removed these items for being persistently unsourced and vaguely promotional.
Traditionally the Adult entertainment industry has not been able to leverage on the financial markets.{{Fact}} Koenig claims to offer a return on investment of close to 60%.{{Fact}}

Unflattering news edit
This article gets quickly sanitized when information contrary Koenig's claims is posted. Here are a few things worth looking into:
- Weisenthal, Joe (2009-01-06). "Porn-Investing Hedge Fund Claims 50% Return". The Business Insider.
- Barnett, Megan (2009-04-08). "Porn or Ponzi?". bizjournals. Condé Nast.
... Koenig's operation, which he calls the adult industry's first hedge fund, is just another fraud.
- "Porn Hedge Fund Founder Refutes Fraud Claims". FINalternatives. Stone Street Media. 2009-04-08.
Sources close to AdultVest Inc. ... say that it is spending investor money on more than just investments, and that what investments there are don't account for the returns it claims.
- "AdultVest Basks In Glow Of 'iPorn Girls'". FINalternatives. Stone Street Media. 2009-06-16.
'There is almost no money left in the fund,' an investor said. 'Koenig has an American Express black card through the company that he uses on partying, girls and high living. Most money is missing and iPorn.com is not worth what he says it is.'
The following forum post doesn't seem to be a reliable source. Can any of these claims be confirmed?
- "Koenig cheated me out of the iPorn domain…by Tryst,". Go Fuck Yourself.com. ICS Entertainment. 2009-09-08.
... every one that worked at AdultVest or iPorn has bailed on Koenig because of his fraud.
Also, an unsourced announcement that Koenig has sold AdultVest was added today. If so, Koenig seems to have run a good scam, but I cannot confirm it from a Google search, so I removed it. / edg ☺ ☭ 13:22, 18 November 2009 (UTC)
Announcement edit
The email that was sent out was the following:
"AdultVest will announce a change of control. [NAME DELETED], the largest investor in Priapus Investment Fund, LLC has acquired all of Francis Koenig’s shares in AdultVest, Inc. and will continue its operations under new management. After in-depth discussions surrounding his plans for the company, we agreed to terms for a sale. Prior to the AdultVest sale, Idaho Global received several offers for the iPorn domain but in the end the decision was made to keep iPorn in the portfolio. The most important consideration in accepting this offer was knowing the person taking over AdultVest would be ready and willing use his best efforts to manage the company’s ongoing commitments. I’m hopeful that [NAME DELETED] will be successful in carrying AdultVest forward. I know that [NAME DELETED] has plans to reach out to you all to discuss his vision for the company. Should you have any questions at all, please contact me any time. My new contact information is below.

This article survived PROD and appears notable by independent, third-party coverage such as the following:
