@Bs1jac and Mashfi23: Theres some confusion going on here. USA and Namibia are saying these are only T20s but only Jersey and CI is calling it T20Is. CI did such mistake before (Remember Oman-SL?). Shouldve waited and not removed the redirect that early. Human (talk) 09:19, 29 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

In theory, Namibia's word should be the most important since they're the host... but ESPNcricinfo corrected what they did with Oman-SL a good while ago- while this time around they suddenly changed the status on the day of the match. Would be a bummer if these aren't official though; David Wiese put on a hell of a show today Mashfi23 (talk) 09:28, 29 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
@A Simple Human Why? Its showing as T20I, so whats the harm? Can always adjust to a non-t20i status tournament again, and there will be enough coverage regardless. "Warm ups" and "practice" doesnt mean it isnt t20i, as both can be used to describe t20is before a major tournament. No harm done either way. Bs1jac (talk) 09:29, 29 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
As Mashfi23 says, on this occasion Cricinfo have added as T20I on the day of the event, not in advance, which suggests new information. Certainly keep an eye on the status, and I won't be touching any stats until clearer either way. Bs1jac (talk) 09:34, 29 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Bs1jac: Sure this article can remain as it passed notability already regardless of status. But there's no need to get riled up. I wasn't blaming you or something just stated my opinion. I know it takes a lot of work to create an article and with all these matches going you might be in your best state. Take a chill pill maybe Human (talk) 09:38, 29 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Haha, I'm not the one who is riled up. Not sure what gives you that impression? As you said, the redirect could be removed even if it isn't T20I, so all that would be required is a wording change and removal of debuts. PS: definitely too many games going on. Ps. Checking with Cricinfo. Bs1jac (talk) 09:49, 29 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
@A Simple Human: Hearing from EC that another possibility is that games involving USA may not be official, but the Nam-Jer games could be. Very confusing! Busy with work today so will find out later. Ps: Cricinfo are checking; unfortunately I think these may not be T20I after all. Bs1jac (talk) 10:20, 29 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Match number has been removed from the first game so looks like this is not T20I. Bs1jac (talk) 10:35, 29 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
They weren't on the ICC fixtures list either (when I checked earlier). Shame they're not T20Is! Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 11:10, 29 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
