WODI status or Just 50 overs matches?
edit@Lugnuts:, @Bs1jac:, does matches involving Pakistan, Bangladesh, West Indies, Sri Lanka, Ireland and Zimbabwe will have WODI status??? Aditya tamhankar (talk), 3rd November 2021, 11:43 AM (IST)
- @Lugnuts and Aditya tamhankar: My understanding is that all games will be ODIs, consistent with the ICC saying a while back that all games in world cup qualification pathway tournaments (or at least tournaments at the end of the pathway such as this) would be ODIs going forward. Also Cricinfo has them as ODIs; CI are sometimes wrong, but it does look like they have full status thankfully. Bs1jac (talk) 13:59, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, I noticed that Cricinfo had them under WODIs when they added the series. The ICC has them as ODI matches too, but sometimes they apply that to any match that takes place over one day (ex. warm-up matches). Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 14:09, 3 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Lugnuts:, @Bs1jac: ICC has listed warm-up matches as others and all qualifier matches (involving Thailand, USA, PNG, Netherlands etc) as ODIs Aditya tamhankar (talk), 3rd November 2021, 21:09 (IST)
ESPNcricinfo is suddenly considering the matches involving Netherlands, USA and Thailand as non-ODIs Mashfi23 (talk) 01:29, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
@Bs1jac: very odd, esp. as the USA (and others!) think/state these are all WODI matches. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:43, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Lugnuts: To be fair the amount of times a board says ODI or T20I when they really mean "internationals but not technically". But yeah we were under the belief that the ICCnhad said all matches at (final) qualifier tournaments would be ODIs. Bs1jac (talk) 07:53, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
- Hope so - would be a shame for the US and Thailand. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 07:57, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
- Cricket Archive list the US/Thai/Dutch matches as "Women's List A" and WODI for those not featuring those teams. Hmmmm. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 08:37, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
- Cricinfo's own match report from Saturday talks about Thailand's ODI debut. The team at EC are confident they are as well. Bs1jac (talk) 09:38, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
- I mentioned to CI that the ICC site still shows ODI status, and CI told me that "they will remove today" Bs1jac (talk) 10:29, 23 November 2021 (UTC)

- Not looking good then. Thanks for your help with checking this out. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 10:37, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
Confirmed, not ODIs. See Peter Della Penna's Twitter clarification. Bs1jac (talk) 10:58, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
- Rats! Thanks for finding out. Good job the ICC are so good at clearing things up. Oh... Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 11:43, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Lugnuts: In the infobox cricket tournament - Cricket format should be in 2 ways: WODI and Women's One Day. What say? Should i edit it? Aditya tamhankar (talk), 23rd November 2021, 17:22 (IST)
Should we keep the stats (debuts and others) as comments in the match sections in case ICC decides to grant these matches ODI status in the near future? Mashfi23 (talk) 11:56, 23 November 2021 (UTC)
- @Lugnuts: Also player pages should be created for Imesha Dulani, Gargi Bhogle and Isani Vaghela as Notability states player who have played at least in one match in Women's World Cup Qualifier Aditya tamhankar (talk), 23rd November 2021, 17:36 (IST)
- I've updated the infobox and will sort out the SL/US players shortly. Thanks. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 13:08, 23 November 2021 (UTC)

Warm-up matches
editAs ESPNcricinfo is covering the four warm-up matches live, should we include them in the article too? Mashfi23 (talk) 14:02, 19 November 2021 (UTC)
Winner?
edit@Lugnuts:, @Bs1jac: im in confusion, is there no Final Match for determining who will be the overall winner of the tournament? Aditya tamhankar (talk), 25 November 2021 09:14 (IST)
- Most points at the end of the Super6 will be th winner. Lugnuts Fire Walk with Me 06:40, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
- The team who tops the Super Six stage will be the champions; no separate finals Mashfi23 (talk) 06:01, 25 November 2021 (UTC)
