King has a career high ATP singles ranking of world No. 106 achieved on 8 May 2017 and career high ATP doubles ranking of No. 191 achieved on 4 March 2019.[2][3][4]

King has represented Barbados at the Davis Cup where he has a W/L record of 39–19 and at the 2016 Olympics.[5]

King's first Grand Slam appearance came at the 2017 US Open, where he lost to fourth seed Alexander Zverev in straight sets.[6][7]
