Template:The Africa Destubathon banner edit

The following is an archived discussion concerning one or more templates or modules. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as the template's talk page or in a deletion review).

The result of the discussion was merge to Template:WikiProject Africa. Primefac (talk) 20:53, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Propose merging Template:The Africa Destubathon banner with Template:WikiProject Africa.
I propose this information be consolidated in the WikiProject banner by using a note triggered by |destubathon=yes. This would take up less space on the page, and this template would not be needed — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 22:21, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Merge per nom. Less banner clutter the better. Gonnym (talk) 06:13, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The result of the discussion was delete after replacing with {{WikiProject Africa|AFR10k=yes}} Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 15:03, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Fits within the scope of WikiProject Africa, and this information can most conveniently be shown by using |AFR10k=yes inside {{WikiProject Africa}}, which takes up less space on the talk page. Therefore this template is not needed. — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 21:59, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Merge and oppose wrapper or redirect. There should always be a WikiProject Africa wrapper on a page that also has this one. So if we make it a wrapper or redirect we will end up with duplicate banners on the same page and then require another editor to clean up. Editors that want to use templates should learn how they should be used and learning the usage of |AFR10k=yes is the bare minimum. Gonnym (talk) 06:13, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with Gonnym (but I think you wrote "wrapper" when you meant "banner"? — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 11:43, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, sorry, meant banner. Gonnym (talk) 23:08, 4 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Note: I have added an alternative alias |10k=yes which is a bit simpler — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 11:26, 8 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Merge and delete (am involved in a bot run around this template). This is one of the few occasions where I do not think a wrapper would be useful. Primefac (talk) 20:59, 11 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

No transclusions. Created in 2021. This template may have been replaced by something that works better. – Jonesey95 (talk) 16:44, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

  • Delete. Unused and not needed to add one class and a niche bold style. Jroberson108 (talk) 20:09, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Navbox containing just one link. It had just three links until this month, when two of the radio stations switched branding from ESPN to Fox. No longer useful for navigation. – Jonesey95 (talk) 16:38, 3 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Non-standard name for a warning template, and probably redundant to {{Uw-delete1}}. – Jonesey95 (talk) 13:24, 27 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

  • Move to a more standard name. This template is about warning someone because they removed sources, the other warning is about removing content. I think this would require a move. UserMemer (chat) Tribs 13:39, 31 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Relisted to generate a more thorough discussion and clearer consensus.

The listed templates are very basic documentation pages for script templates. They are all now unused after I've replaced all of them with Template:Script/basic documentation which offers TemplateData, links to the relevant script page links and a consistent style.
