- If you ever want that article to make it into mainspace, you will have to start adding secondary sources, instead of piddling with citations of primary ones. The same applies to Michael Mackey, which lacks any reliable secondary sourcing. Drmies (talk) 14:38, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
- What exactly do "secondary sources" mean? Very Bad Lion (talk) 14:48, 15 April 2023 (UTC)
- Wait--for real? Secondary sources are things that talk about a certain topic. Your topic is a person; your sources should talk about that person, not things written by that person. You were directed to Wikipedia:Verifiability in 2019, which says "Base articles largely on reliable secondary sources"--with a link to Secondary source. Drmies (talk) 16:21, 15 April 2023 (UTC)

- I am somewhat confused I think. In my original submission I was dinged for having too many references to Goldbeter's work, so I cut that down substantially but still left reference to three of his most significant papers as well as two books--using footnotes, so I am unclear about the first objection. Then the second comment "lacks significant coverage in multiple independent reliable secondary sources" does not tell me exactly what is lacking. An example might help, and thanks in advance for suggestions and help. 2003:E4:973C:4A73:85A:6A35:AB0B:AFBA (talk) 06:28, 27 April 2023 (UTC)
