Largest fungal fruit bodies edit

Hi Treeenthusiast; thanks for your efforts with this article. Just so you're not alarmed when you next take a look, I've made a number of changes to try and bring it more in-line with what is expected of a Wikipedia article of this sort, and asked the members of the fungi WikiProject (see Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Fungi) if they'd like to have a look. It's potentially a really valuable article. Josh Milburn (talk) 09:17, 11 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of List of world's longest vines edit

Hello Treeenthusiast,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged List of world's longest vines for deletion, because it doesn't seem to have any encyclopedic content.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Chase (talk) 05:33, 16 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

List of world's longest vines edit

Hi Treeenthusiast, thanks for your work of List of world's longest vines. I just wanted to give you a quick tip; if you make additions to the table there needs to be a |} at the end to close the table (See this diff as an example). You might also want to put a sentence or two at the start, before the table, as an introduction to the article. If you need any help or have any questions just let me know. Sarahj2107 (talk) 06:56, 18 June 2016 (UTC)Reply

(talk page stalker) If you edit a table, I strongly recommend using wp:show preview to verify that something hasn't been broken (which I always seem to do). Often one sees other text and tables "glommed" together. Thank you! Jim1138 (talk) 08:12, 7 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

References edit

Would you please use {{cite book}} (with ISBN) or {{cite web}}? Please avoid wp:bare urls wp:citing sources and links to a few primers at the top. Thanks Jim1138 (talk) 08:08, 7 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Aristolochia gorgona, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Calyx. Posoqueria longiflora moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Posoqueria longiflora, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.

Hi, Nice start to the article. I've added a species box, categories and another reference. This species is a synonym of Anthocleista vogelii, which is the currently accepted name according to the reference I added. I will move the page in the nearish future and leave this page as a redirect. Is this OK with you or am I missing something?

species that have been renamed edit

Sometimes species are given new names as scientists find more appropriate categories for them or decide that one species is the same as another one. Draft:Posoqueria longiflora is an old name that has been replaced by Oxyceros longiflorus (Lam.) T.Yamaz., 1970. You could edit the existing Draft:Posoqueria longiflora and move it to the correct name. Eastmain (talkcontribs) 01:57, 26 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hello Treeenthusiast,

Thanks for your work. Wondering if you have a reference for "[t]hese stamens can number as many as 1700 in one flower" for Eucalyptus rhodantha. I can't find it in the references cited. Feel free to replace the sentence if I have made a mistake. Gderrin (talk) 08:30, 27 September 2021 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, but the "reference" you have added is not a reference. We need to know from where this information was obtained. Please feel free to describe here or on my talk page, where you read this information. Provided that your source is a reliable source, I would be happy to add it to the article or to help you do that. The name of the book, its author and the page number would be great. My original source spelled it as "magnificum" You will find these spelling disagreements everywhere in botany. It is a pity I did not copy down all of the information at the time, as I also have had a problem finding the original on line. All I can add is that it was published by the Department of Forests of the (then) territory of Papua New Guinea, and the locality was Port Morseby. I garnered this info circa 1985, probably from the UCLA bio-med library. Treeenthusiast (talk) 23:29, 16 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
