Easier way to wikilink.

Howdy TotalFailure, I noticed your edit to Chenopodiaceae, and saw when you made a wikilink to mediterranean climates, you typed it like this [[mediterranean climate|mediterranean climates]]. Just to let you know, there is a much easier way to link to this, and all others like it. All you have to do is type this: [[mediterranean climate]]s (the final 's' just gets sucked into the rest of the link). Results for yours and my examples are bulleted below:

• mediterranean climates = your example
• mediterranean climates = my example.

All anyone is asking you to do is add some references. Have you ever seen an encyclopedia which didn't cite them? Would you trust the information in one that didn't? I wouldn't. Only blogs and the like do not show references, because they all rely on peoples' opinions of things. Wikipedia is not a blog. You are getting inflamed over nothing. If you know your topics, which you appear to, then please provide references. For instance, the article Josef Triebensee looks great. You did excellent work! But it doesn't show anything backing it up. And please don't go around insulting people, what does that help? All it does is make other editors as pissed off as you are, and reflect poorly on yourself. No one has insulted you, they have only asked you to adhere to the standard policy of providing more references. You are not being singled out - we all have to do that. Hi! In Paper Sizes, you made an edit in April of 2011 stating that "The main disadvantage of the system is type does not scale the same way; therefore, when a page is resized, the type set on it loses legibility as the proportion between the type's x-height, page margins, and leading are distorted. In the course of researching a documentary about Fake News and Disinformation, I started reviewing numerous wikipedia articles regarding sensitive issues and so-called conspiracy theories in the category of Fringe materials because it forms part of the Documentary. When I research, I believe in improving Wikipedia if I can. I have many-year history of excellent Wikipedia edits, although I am not an active "community member," I felt some of these articles were unfair and part of the disinformation I was actually researching. As an example, I once was given a Barnstormer award for restructuring the article of Henry Ford, and I was applauded by the Wikipedia community for my fair and balances statements regarding Ford's antisemitism.

One article in particular was the article on "conspiracy theory," the subject of my team's own research, which I edited to include the excellent research of Lance DeHaviland published by the University of Texas, Austin, press as Volume 5 of the "Discovering America" series, a copy of which I own and was referring to. The existing Wikipedia article did not have the most recent and factually-based peer reviewed material based on this subject. For example, it did not refer to the term itself as a "meme" and it did not give its original origins in the sense of "theory of case" which was appropriated by the CIA in a specific document in 1967 as a mean to discredit criticism of the Kennedy Assassination. DeHaviland discusses how such use of the term in a disparaging sense has backfired, in the sense of "only a theory" in regard to Evolution. All in all, I put in a good five hours improving the article with extensive inline sourcing none of which was on the "talk page." At the time of the edits, there was no presentation of the need to talk about the article. In fact, in auto-confirmed only articles, which I have encountered over the years, I often go ahead and improve them because there are barriers to fixing problems with the article. IOn this case, the basic text of the article was part of the disinformation. Furthermore, the article was presented with a memo, "this article may be improved with text from the corresponding article from German Wikipedia" which indicated to me that the article was already in need of improvement and flawed. I speak fluent German, and, in fact, I reviewed the relevant German article and literally brought in the suggestion of using it - and this is somehow disparaged as "fringe" defacing. You may observe from my history, I've spent many many hours translating German into English on this site including the poetry of Osterwald.

A hyper-vigilant editor, whom I actually believe may work for the intelligence services based on his own work, took offense at these edits, and I challenged him on his own talk-page for a biased view out of context of the work of DeHaviland and others in meta-media and meta-journalism (specifically the phenomenon of journalistic blackout). The editor overreacted blocking me permanently. I fear that particular editor is preserving an unbalanced bubble, not breaking it. This undoes over a decade of positive contributions to Wikipedia and is unfair. The rewritten introduction to the article was truly excellent, fair, and balanced. If he reverted, that's one thing, but it seemed like he didn't read it.

I only observed the block when I came back to edit the article on Sala Burton as part of a San Francisco history Documentary I'm now researching for KQED and noticed the article was woefully inadequate. I guess Sala Burton is "Fringe" but it's really really silly to see this overreaction, which only happened when I brought up the issue on that user's Talk Page - which he then blocks me permanently for "not using talk" !!!! If anyone needs to be blocked for being a prick, it's that guy}

(Non-administrator comment) Hello. Please note that your unblock request is malformed: it lacks a closing bracket which you should close for it to take effect. It is however ironic to notice that it also contains conspiracy theories (I hope that you do not believe that I too am an agent). In relation to the conspiracy theory article, one editor reverted your inappropriate changes, another warned you, then I commented on the first's talk page on why those edits were problematic, then noticed that you were soon blocked. I see no evidence that the administrator who blocked you had any special previous interaction with you, other than warning and eventually taking action for inserting fringe conspiracy theories as facts in multiple articles (including WP:BLP) despite warnings. On Wikipedia, article (and talk page) history, user contributions and block logs are very transparent. In your previous editing history, I do see some better contributions, although various lacked sources. Another concern in the block summary was failure to communicate or reach consensus (like simply blanking received warnings then repeating similar edits elsewhere). I suggest making a shorter unblock request which demonstrates an understanding on how and why this behavior was wrong and why you should be unblocked (what you intend to improve constructively on Wikipedia), which would likely be better received by admins.
