Peer review feedback

Hi, I noticed you have a request in at peer review which has not yet received any response besides the semi-automated script. Have you tried requesting a peer review from the volunteers list? Another idea you might want to try is to review someone else's request (particularly one from the list of requests without responses), then ask that they look at your request. Hi, I got your message. Nice job changing the Overview tab to Geography. By the way, the text (from the Japan article) in the Projects tabbed box seems out of context. A brief overview of what WikiProject Japan's objectives and most important activities are would be more appropriate. JapanWiki

Hey Torsodog. I recently began a project called japanwiki (japanwiki.org). I did that before I discovered the Portal:Japan function in Wikipedia. I resoect the work you have done so far and I was wondering if you could ask the community what they think is best. The portal function of Wikipedia or a completely independent site. I built the site using mediawiki (same as wikipedia) and I am hoping to make it a source of knowledge for Japan. I wanted to ask for the help of the community but I see that a lot of the work has already been done here. Do you think the community would be willing to move the content to JapanWiki? Millennium Park

I am kind of interested in pursuing a WP:FT with Millennium Park. This means that all the attractions on the first line in the template have to be WP:GAs, Millennium Park has to get to WP:FA. I am not sure if we would have to improve any other article or if any others would be missing. I have made Crown Fountain and Jay Pritzker Pavilion GAs. I am working on BP Pedestrian Bridge. I could use help with any of the other articles. I forget how many times zoom the picture is, but it wasn't much. Sadly, that is still the picture with the reflection I was referring to previously. Main page

There are five sections in the main page. The easiest one to make is the did you know section. Any article that was created in the last five days or newly expanded five-fold in the last five days is eligible. Right now BP Pedestrian Bridge is on the main page. At any given time 6-12 different articles are featured. A picture from one of the articles goes on the main page. It is not uncommon for an article that usually gets 50 visitors a day to get 5000 during a six hour run in this section. You are a hard working guy. You would get on the main page for taking any of the redlinked articles at WP:CHIFTD to over 1500 characters in a five day period for example. If you are a good photographer you can also make the main page pretty easily with a picture. So far I have made the main page in three section. Featured article is the hardest. We have got to get you thinking about getting on the main page regularly and if you have a lot of great photos, you should try at WP:FPC. I have learned that with my point and shoot, I can only succeed if I get a high quality image that is virtually irreplaceable. I have only one WP:FC in many attempts. We can talk further, but I encourage you to create a new article and try and make the main page. We need to get our other redlinks written up so any of those at WP:CHIFTD would be a good start.--TonyTheTiger (t/c/bio/WP:CHICAGO/WP:LOTM) 08:41, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Another suggestion for a new article would be Daley Bicentennial Plaza, which is currently a redirect. I don't know what part of Grant Park is considered to be in the plaza. Exelon Pavilion

If you get a chance we could use a picture of the North Exelon Pavilions. The Northwest Pavilion is the welcome center, so I guess this should be the main image for the page if we can get an image. McDonald's Cycle Center

The interior pictures are not so good on flickr compared to those at http://www.aia.org/aiarchitect/thisweek05/tw0325/0325pw_bike.htm . You are practically across the street from that one, but I am not sure if you have to pay to see the insides. Can you see the Cycle Center from the same place you shot the Bridge? We have some images, but might do better with better images. Wow, I had no idea the inside was so extensive. I know I could easily get pictures of the interior racks by simply going through the windows, but anything further I wouldn't know about. I could ask if you think new pictures are essential. I know that I can get much better pictures of the exterior structure for the article though. Japanese addresses

Hey, what guidelines are you using for writing out Japanese addresses in English? I haven't been able to find any consensus on the "proper" way of doing it, so I'm seeing what information you have before I start a discussion on Wikipedia talk:Manual of Style (Japan-related articles) (the format given on Wikipedia:Manual of Style (Japan-related articles) seems a bit out of date, so that's why I want to update it all). I generally follow what is stated in the MOS-JP (which is pretty much what I learned when I was in Japan), though I usually also add the postal code. At WP:FAC you are only suppose to have one active nomination at a time. Thus, we may want to both nominate articles. I know you were considering nominating Crown Fountain.
