Template:Infobox basketball biography

Tony, can you provide several examples of articles for current college basketball players which use Template:Infobox basketball biography? In addition to three or four well-developed examples for current college basketball players, I am also interested in having a look-see at several well-developed examples for historical college basketball players -- that never played pro ball -- which also use this infobox template. Your help in identifying several good examples would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 23:14, 30 April 2015 (UTC)

  • Tony, ideally, I'm looking for "pure" college guys who never played pro of any kind. I'd like to compare these to the formatting for uses of Infobox college football player and Infobox NCAA athlete. Also, do you still use Infobox NCAA athlete on any of the articles you maintain? WikiCup 2015 May newsletter

C/2014 Q2 (Lovejoy) is a long-period comet discovered on 17 August 2014 by Terry Lovejoy; and is one of several Featured Pictures worked up by   The Herald (submissions) during the second round.

The second round one has all wrapped up, and round three has now begun! Congratulations to the 34 contestants who have made it through, but well done and thank you to all contestants who took part in our second round. Leading the way overall was   Cas Liber (submissions) in Group B with a total of 777 points for a variety of contributions including Good Articles on Corona Borealis and Microscopium - both of which received the maximum bonus.

Special credit must be given to a number of high importance articles improved during the second round.

The points varied across groups, with the lowest score required to gain automatic qualification was 68 in Group A - meanwhile the second place score in Group H was 404, which would have been high enough to win all but one of the other Groups! As well as the top two of each group automatically going through to the third round, a minimum score of 55 was required for a wildcard competitor to go through. We had a three-way tie at 55 points and all three have qualified for the next round, in the spirit of fairness. The third round ends on June 28, with the top two in each group progressing automatically while the remaining 16 highest scorers across all four groups go through as wildcards. Good luck to all competitors for the third round! Figureskatingfan (talk · contribs · email), Miyagawa (talk · contribs · email) and Sturmvogel 66 (talk · contribs · email) 16:49, 4 May 2015 (UTC)

Wikipedia:Today's featured article/May 21, 2015

Hi Tony, User:Ryoga Godai, and User talk:Adabow. A summary of a Featured Article you guys nominated at WP:FAC will appear on the Main Page soon. I had to squeeze the summary down to around 1200 characters; was there anything I left out you'd like to see put back in? I'd appreciate it if you could check the article one more time before its day on the Main Page. - Dank (push to talk) 03:40, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

I had scheduled this for 21 May, but a strong claim to this date has been made by a very recent FA promotion, so I am shifting Here We Go Again to a date later in the month. Sorry about that. Brianboulton (talk) 08:08, 5 May 2015 (UTC)

U.S. Olympic track team navboxes

Good morning, Tony. Given the relatively large number of links in U.S. Olympic track and field navboxes such as Template:Footer USA Track & Field 2012 Summer Olympics, might it not be better if they were split by gender? The track athlete navboxes have over twice as many links as the comparable navboxes for U.S. Olympic swimming teams (2012, 134 track vs. 59 swimming). I might also suggest that you remove the red links for the U.S. Olympic Trials from the boxes for the older Olympic teams, unless and until someone creates those articles. Please consider. Thanks. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 12:21, 31 May 2015 (UTC)

  • Tony, it's a relatively inactive WikiProject, but I'm happy to move this discussion to the WP:Olympics talk page. It's not a big deal, but the navbox size has reached the point of becoming rather large -- with an obvious and logical split available. Dirtlawyer1 (talk) 15:14, 31 May 2015 (UTC)
