Speedy deletion nomination of User:Tommygogd edit

A tag has been placed on User:Tommygogd requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. — fortunavelut luna 09:32, 12 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Contested deletion edit

This page should not be speedily deleted because... (i own the name and details in it , which make every content and information exclusive to my personal data, and i hope to use it for client who need to know about me, as i value the use and purpose of wikipedia and hope to get my articles placed on it also. thanks) --Tommygogd (talk) 10:10, 12 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Questions about your images edit

I have some reservations about your images and their provenance. Can you please clarify:

  1. When you took the photos == it was taken just last month (April 2021)
  2. What camera you used to take them == (Canon Mark111)
  3. Whether you can upload the original files, or similar ones from the same photo shoots. ==== yes i can , i will get them from my drive and upload when i get home.

The sooner you answer these, the easier it'll be for getting the draft accepted. —A little blue Bori v^_^v Jéské Couriano 13:59, 25 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

If you'd prefer a bit more anonymity, email the files to permission-commons@wikimedia.org instead of to Commons proper. —A little blue Bori v^_^v Jéské Couriano 21:19, 25 May 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hey, Tommygogd. Would you please be able to upload the original, non-compressed, high-quality photos? You might already know, the photos taken from Canon Mark have higher file size (not talking about RAW, but JPG exported) -- could you please upload *those* original files which have larger file size and contains the original EXIF data?
acagastya 05:13, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
@acagastya , I have deleted the raw pictures , client chooses the ones he want then we edit those and delete the raw from the camera because of space and also after sending it to my client because of memory space on my camera and system, the ones I upload earlier i had to redownload it from my whatsapp log for the ones he choosed and i sent to him. this is really my picture as there is none of this picture anywhere online, but if there is no way to prove it what then can i do as i have already uploaded related picture of the same shoot?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Tommygogd (talkcontribs)
I am not asking for the RAW files. But when you exported *from* RAW files, it must have had a smaller file-size version containing metadata. Right? Even that would suffice. However, only two photos seems to be of the same shoot, not the rest.
acagastya 14:31, 27 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
@acagastya is this what you are asking for , this is the ones i exported from my system before sending to them on whatsapp , so please check this 3 picture i reuploaded here. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tommygogd (talkcontribs) 21:10, 30 May 2021 (UTC)Reply
These three images covered part of the talk page, so I have added a colon to the link – the images are still there, and visible if you click the link, but they are not displayed on this talk page.
Tommygogd, when you respond to talk page posts, please add your reply as a separate post below the one you're responding to, and don't add text inside the other editor's post, like you did here. --bonadea contributions talk 13:40, 18 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest edit

  Hello, Tommygogd. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 15:51, 17 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

June 2021 edit

  Your edit to River Basin Authorities in Nigeria has been removed in whole or in part, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. All such contributions will be deleted. You may use external websites or publications as a source of information, but not as a source of content, such as sentences or images—you must write using your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and persistent violators of our copyright policy will be blocked from editing. See Wikipedia:Copying text from other sources for more information. bonadea contributions talk 15:54, 17 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Tommygogd, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Tommygogd|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Here you refer to your client, but that is not sufficient as a disclosure. bonadea contributions talk 13:45, 18 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Disclosure edit

I am not compensated for this edits, I only contributed to the edit base on the recent update of event and the authorities, I do not in any way request any payment from any company for my edits. Every edit from my contribution is with non interest of payment as, I am a new contributor which I have no connection with any company or persons as such. my contributions are solely for updates for the public use. thanks

"I have no connection with any company or persons as such" ; I don't quite understand what you mean by that, since you refer to "my client" here and talk about how you have received pictures from him, so it is clearly not the case that you are not in contact with him. And one of the sources you have used in the draft is a website run by the company you say on your userpage that you are the CEO of. --bonadea contributions talk 17:40, 18 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

@bonadea , thanks , I never said I dont know him , but I was trying to clear the fact that I am not been paid for it neither did I collect any money from anyone to do this, "my client" I used herewas referring to all my customers as a procedure we usually do at the studio not for only him, he was my lecturer in the university and also my customer at my photo studio but I do not have any blood relationship with him which I think makes me to write about him without sentiment, so where do I declare that I know him if that is the case. I am a new editor with creating article which I have been willing to be contributing to pages for the benefit 0f the public so I am using his to start my first article and it is without sentiment. plus please, if I am required to declare that I know him, I will, but I am not paid a penny for this with all sincerity.

Hi again. There is some information about how a conflict of interest is defined at Wikipedia, and what to do if you have a conflict of interest, above (under "Managing a conflict of interest").
By the way, if you sign your posts on talk pages with four tildes (~~~~) you make it easier to follow the conversation, and see who has said what. In addition, when you mention another user (like you did above), they won't get a notification unless you also sign the post. Regards, --bonadea contributions talk 16:54, 19 June 2021 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Babalola Olatunji edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Babalola Olatunji, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. August 2021 edit

  Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button   located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 21:58, 6 August 2021 (UTC)Reply
