Help me with copyright on images!

Please help a novice with...

I have uploaded some images showing representative work by the subject artist Lazzaro Donati. The images are paintings or other two dimensional work of art and the copyright is most likely owned by the artist, the person who commissioned the work, or their heirs. Having read the licensing material here I still am uncertain if I have uploaded these photos in the correct manner or with the correct licensing. The works are all by the artist Lazzaro Donati and the images were taken from artnet.com. There are no free use images available of these works. I tired to use, or scale the images to, a low resolution and I believe that these images qualify as fair use under US copyright law.

I would appreciate advise if these images are acceptable.

Wikipedia's non-free content criteria require the use of non-free images to be minimal. If one non-free image can suffice, we shouldn't use two. If the image itself is not discussed in the article, it should not be shown. Fair-use images should almost never be included as part of a general image gallery. If reliable sources highlight one work as particularly emblematic of Donati's style, we could show that while discussing it as a representative of that style, but unfortunately I don't think having a half-dozen images agrees with Wikipedia's policy on non-free content.
