Rollback

Hi TheManInTheBlackHat. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or RedWarn.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! FASTILY 02:38, 31 December 2022 (UTC)

Draft: Khejarla Fort

Now reference added, move this page to main space Mannuseemu (talk) 00:15, 30 December 2022 (UTC)

bro reverted me for no reason lol ImRp1c (talk) 21:16, 30 December 2022 (UTC)

@ImRp1c You deleted a template that auto updates his age, when Wikipedia (or your browser) purges it's cache, the date will auto update. TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 21:18, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
It was stuck though, it wasn't changing. ImRp1c (talk) 08:02, 2 January 2023 (UTC)
Again it was probably just getting cached on the Wikipedia server, it changed when the cache is "purged". If you click this link here, you can purge the server cache for that page. TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 14:06, 2 January 2023 (UTC)

Trzcianki, Greater Poland Voivodeship

Hi TheManInTheBlackHat, I saw your recent edit to this article, which I thought was really helpful. But, sorry, I reverted it mainly to keep the article, and the map in particular, in keeping with the same style as other Polish towns and cities. I hope you don't mind. Regards, Kiwipete (talk) 01:25, 2 January 2023 (UTC)

It's fine, thanks for letting me know. I'll make sure to use the coordinates section next time. TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 01:30, 2 January 2023 (UTC)

Altered speedy deletion rationale: Lil Siya

Hello TheManInTheBlackHat. I am just letting you know that I deleted Lil Siya, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, under a different criterion from the one you provided, which didn't fit the page in question. Thank you. Salvio 15:40, 5 January 2023 (UTC)

Please add this factory deteils on Wikipedia since no search found for Govandi Deonar Biomedical Waste Treatment facility about which adjacent to Deonar Dumping Ground Skfaiyaz43 (talk) 16:11, 5 January 2023 (UTC)

Hey @Skfaiyaz43, if no sources can be found of this facility online, it may not be notable enough for Wikipedia. See WP:N. TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 16:12, 5 January 2023 (UTC)

Apology

I don't want to be block. I didn't want to burden you. I am scared. Because I want to put references of Athens 2004 Closing Ceremony and have foreign dignitaries. I didn't mean no harm. I'm sorry. I don't want any trouble. I didn't do anything wrong. 100.2.114.167 (talk) 03:35, 7 January 2023 (UTC)

Hello @100.2.114.167, nothing to be scared of. I reverted your edit on the Wikipedia page because it looked like you added a spam link. The website looked quite questionable and seemed to be a pirated movies site. That, on top of the other warnings on your user page, led me to report you. TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 03:37, 7 January 2023 (UTC)

The truth about references Opening Ceremony 2004 Athens

Like to put in references. But you're making mistake. I didn't do anything wrong because of you. You owe me an apology for what you accusing me. Opening Ceremony Athens 2004 Olympics. And I didn't do anything wrong. I am innocent. I was doing the right thing to learn eventually. I didn't use to make spam. I deny that it ever happened. Just apologize to me. 100.2.114.167 (talk) 03:43, 7 January 2023 (UTC)

I'm glad your edits are good faith, but either way, the source didn't seem reliable, so I stand with my revert. TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 03:53, 7 January 2023 (UTC)

Georgina Rodriguez

The article cited for that sentece in the Georgina Rodriguez wiki page that I removed and you restored says nothing about her considering herself a Spaniard first and an Argentine second. That's why I removed it. -

After reading the sources, I've reverted by revert, thank you. TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 23:05, 7 January 2023 (UTC)

Reverting my reversion

Hey! May I ask why you reverted my edit? The edit I reverted was an obvious test edit so I"m a bit confused as to why you did so. (discussing here since my alt's talk page automatically redirects to my main's) Blaze Fire Wolf (talk) 23:08, 7 January 2023 (UTC)

Also when responding please ping my main account (Blaze Wolf) or else I might not see it. Blaze Fire Wolf (talk) 23:17, 7 January 2023 (UTC)
I left a comment about that here, I must have read Huggle's diff preview wrong, sorry. @Blaze Fire Wolf @Blaze Wolf TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 23:19, 7 January 2023 (UTC)

Editing Clarifications

Thank you for the clarification on my edit, I understand. My motherly I instincts took over when my child comes home from school and shows me things like this. I guess I do t understand why that last part of that sentence needs to be included. I don’t fault Wiki, or the schools for that matter. I’m not one to question my child’s school as I think they are doing an excellent job. I may just have a talk with them about the content available to children. Thanks Ocooch (talk) 00:37, 8 January 2023 (UTC)

I think you've made the right move, @Ocooch, if you find content on Wikipedia inappropriate, that is a conversation to have with the school and/or your child as Wikipedia is not censored. TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 00:45, 8 January 2023 (UTC)

Deletion of my edit

Hi

Thank you for highlighting, I was reading an article published by global startup studio and then watched a few live sessions of those startup studios which enabled me to update the same. Do you think you might have deleted without cross checking the facts?

Thanks anyway

IndianVenture (talk) 15:24, 10 January 2023 (UTC)

You didn't cite any sources. Please cite the sources, including the figure from Chrunchbase. @IndianVenture TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 15:28, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
where can I find my text, so that I would not have to type it again, thanks in advance IndianVenture (talk) 17:08, 10 January 2023 (UTC)
This is the change here @IndianVenture. TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 17:09, 10 January 2023 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at File talk:James Charles (2019) (cropped).png, you may be blocked from editing. 1keyhole (talk) 02:34, 11 January 2023 (UTC)

@1keyhole Perhaps there's been a mishap, but I reverted obvious vandalism by an IP user, that you later re-added. TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 02:35, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
Sorry my mistake. 1keyhole (talk) 02:37, 11 January 2023 (UTC)

My talk page

Thanks for reverting the warning you put on my talk page. I thought there might be some sort of mistake. Schminnte (talk contribs) 21:40, 14 January 2023 (UTC)

It was, I was clicking too fast through the revision history. TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 21:40, 14 January 2023 (UTC)

So you're clearly not from Plymouth then are you, don't bother changing it if you cba to do the research into the shocking lack of public transport. BrisJanner (talk) 02:37, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

Wikipedia is not a place for original research, you're going to have a find a source that talks about the transport situation. @BrisJanner TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 02:40, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

Or you do it seeing as you're so quick to edit, if you don't have a clue what you're on about, leave it to the people like me who do. BrisJanner (talk) 02:44, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

We need content to be sourced (ie. a news report/book/article has to back up a claim). TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 02:47, 15 January 2023 (UTC)
@BrisJanner TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 02:47, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

Find it yourself and put it in then, not my problem, the stuff I've edited was incorrect, I should know, I go every other Saturday, you've probably never stepped foot in Plymouth. BrisJanner (talk) 02:49, 15 January 2023 (UTC)

January 2023

Hello TheManInTheBlackHat. Thanks for patrolling new pages – it's a very important task! I'm just letting you know, however, that there is consensus that we shouldn't tag pages as lacking context (CSD A1) and/or content (CSD A3) moments after they are created, as you did at BvnditGvngWill. It's usually best to wait at least 10–15 minutes for more content to be added if the page is very short, and the articles should not be marked as patrolled. Tagging such pages in a very short space of time may drive away well-meaning contributors, which is not good for Wikipedia. Attack pages (G10), patent nonsense (G1), copyright violations (G12) and pure vandalism/blatant hoaxes (G3) should of course still be tagged and deleted immediately. Thanks. Firefighter Wesley Williams

Hello,

Here are some sources that substantiate the edit I made to Firefighter Wesley Williams's page. There are some specific references to the details that I added to the page. https://www.tenement.org/wesley-williams/ https://amsterdamnews.com/news/2022/11/10/fdny-still-doesnt-reflect-the-diversity-of-our-city-our-legislation-will-change-that/ AliceHardy77 (talk) 16:32, 19 January 2023 (UTC)

@AliceHardy77 thanks, can you place them in <ref> tags on the article? TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 16:36, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
Thank you for your response.
It's my first time doing this, I might need some help.
Thanks again! AliceHardy77 (talk) 16:48, 19 January 2023 (UTC)
@AliceHardy77 No problem, let me know if you need assistance. TheManInTheBlackHat (Talk) 19:48, 19 January 2023 (UTC)

Missing image

I’m sorry for my rudeness in not getting back to you sooner. I was in the middle of uploading the image when you deleted the link. For some reason the system had logged me out so it looked like the work of an anon IP. My fault entirely, for which I apologise. Jack1956 (talk) 22:27, 28 January 2023 (UTC)
