Copy-editing and content change
editDear GoodIndian, thanks for your copy-editing work on a broad range of India-related articles. However, please take care not to mix copy-editing with content changes. Moreover, you need to be careful not to add WP:OR in the midst of sourced content. Any passage that has a citation should only describe what the sources say. All the best! -- Kautilya3 (talk) 16:10, 10 April 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for your work on Frozen. Unfortunately, disambiguation pages do not follow the same stylistic rules as normal pages. In particular,
- there should be only one live link per entry.
Please see the disambiguation style guide for more information. If you have any questions not answered there, drop me a note or try the help desk. By the way, I have already brought Frozen into line with the guidelines. Ubcule (talk) 15:32, 24 June 2016 (UTC)
Your GA nomination of Battle of Stalingrad
editHi there, I'm pleased to inform you that I've begun reviewing the article Battle of Stalingrad you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Battle of Stalingrad - GA nomination
editHi there, I notice you have nominated Battle of Stalingrad for GA. Just skimming the article, I can see multiple issues, including clean up tags and there are numerous paragraphs that are uncited. These will definitely require fixing and will involve accessing sources to confirm the information in those paragraphs and then adding the necessary cites. This will be very time consuming for such a large article and will need multiple sources. Looking at the article history, I see that you have not made any edits to it. As it is expected that the nominator do the necessary work to rectify any issues arising out of the review, can you confirm that you have both the time and resources to do this? If you haven't, then I recommend that I quick fail the article. You can then take your time to sort out the issues and make sure the article meets GA criteria and re-nominate it when it is ready. If you haven't already, I also suggest checking out Wikipedia:Nominating good articles. Let me know, cheers, Zawed (talk) 01:50, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
- And I see the article has found a reviewer already. If you want to have this quickfailed, you will need to let them know before they invest too much time in it. Cheers, Zawed (talk) 02:00, 19 June 2018 (UTC)
Reply To Zawed
editSir, I am glad that you went through the article about Stalingrad and pointed out its weaknesses. Practically, I had nominated the article simply to know if there were any real deficiencies in it or it had simply escaped the notice of the editors. Removing the nomination is probably the right thing to do. I will inform the reviewer immediately. By the way, if you had some spare time, could you look into 'Indo-Pakistani War of 1971'? I nominated it for good article status, too, again without properly knowing the guidelines (I joined Wikipedia less than 3 years ago, and have been serious about it for an even lesser period of time).
