IroquoisEdit

I didn’t look at all, but the words are from Morgan, and therefore Seneca. Unfortunately I guess this is obsolete orthography (I’m not an expert either). It would be nice if someone familiar with the Seneca language today could render them appropriately. In the meantime, this is the best we have. Peter Flass (talk) 01:07, 3 January 2022 (UTC)

Copying within Wikipedia requires attributionEdit

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from one or more pages into Religious communism. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. If you are the sole author of the prose that was copied, attribution is not required. — Diannaa (talk) 15:07, 4 January 2022 (UTC)

Francesco Cesare Casula moved to draftspaceEdit

An article you recently created, Francesco Cesare Casula, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Page ViewsEdit

Wondering what the purpose of putting page views on so many talk pages is? Is this a part of a new initiative?

18:53, 8 January 2022 (UTC)

@KaerbaqianRen: No, it's just something I've been doing for months, as I thought it would be useful to have the pageviews for articles. --Cdjp1 (talk) 20:16, 8 January 2022 (UTC)
  • I was wondering the same thing. I don't like it, it clutters the talk pages and is rather trivial too booth. Before doing this on a large scale, I think you should seek consensus that this is actually something desirable. --Randykitty (talk) 22:15, 20 February 2022 (UTC)

Cosmetic editsEdit

Hello! I noticed that you made a cosmetic edit on the page Doukhobors. Per the bot policy, a cosmetic change is one that does not change the readable output of a page; your edit looked like so. While this policy applies only to bots, human editors should also follow this guidance. I would recommend avoiding making these types of changes in the future. Assam RiflesEdit

What are your sources for the Assam Rifles badges ([1][2]) you uploaded? The Doom Patrol (talk) 18:25, 21 August 2022 (UTC)

Are you now going to argue the citation YOU pointed to, which I then actually found and provided, is wrong? Cdjp1 (talk) 18:27, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
If it is wrong, remove it. If you have better, add it. If the citations are ok, they can be left. Cdjp1 (talk) 18:38, 21 August 2022 (UTC)
Nice strawman argument. When did I provided any citation for "verifying your pictures"? My source was to verify the "rank names" which I updated, not your pictures. I asked you about the source for the "pictures of badges" you uploaded in SEPTEMBER 2021. The question remains, what is your source? The Doom Patrol (talk) 17:36, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
My apologies, I thought you were talking about the rank titles. The badges are extracted from images such as this one, which are prevalent on search results, and seems to relate to an everyday working uniform. Cdjp1 (talk) 18:06, 22 August 2022 (UTC)
Removal has been reverted, stating source, image descriptions updated. Though looking at this the NonCom ranks look to be on a red backing, though they also seem to be in full parade dress, so those images may need updating, depending on what else can be found. September 2022Edit

Those were nice edits yesterday at the 2022 Russian invasion article. The article is currently about to go over 400Kb which seems to require a bulking down of the article which is becoming too large and sprawling. My direction of thought in to take the Prelude section and either split it into a new article, or to rely on the existing links and summarize that entire section into 3-4 summary paragraphs. Any thoughts on this from your experience with the article? ErnestKrause (talk) 16:01, 28 September 2022 (UTC)
