Speedy deletion nomination of Global High-Level Panel on Water and Peace

A tag has been placed on Global High-Level Panel on Water and Peace requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Wikipedia and copyright

Hello Stephanekluser, and welcome to Wikipedia. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

• You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. More on COI

Hallo, I note that on your user page you state: "As communications officer of the Geneva Water Hub, I am in charge of creating content for the Geneva Water Hub et High Level Panel on Water and Peace articles."

That is not the way Wikipedia works. As someone closely associated with the projects you must not edit those articles except to correct factual misinformation (see above). You can suggest improvements on the article talk pages, but for you to edit as part of your employment as communications officer is against Wikipedia's firm policies. No-one else is "in charge" of creating content either: volunteer editors will create or edit articles as they see fit, overseen, randomly or systematically, by other volunteer editors who are on the lookout for obviously promotional articles as well as other problems. Logo

Rather than labelling the logo file as "Own work", it might be better to upload the logo using the provision for adding the logo of an organisation. If you go carefully through the "Upload a file" process you'll see the appropriate option. Makes it more neutral. In step 3 look for "This is a copyrighted, non-free work, but I believe it is Fair Use." and go on from there. PamD 10:19, 17 July 2017 (UTC)

Though, that said, I can't see the logo in that form anywhere on the official website, just the 3 stacked words "Geneva Water Hub"! I can see your version at http://www.geneve-int.ch/geneva-water-hub-0. How confusing. PamD 10:24, 17 July 2017 (UTC)

Nomination of Geneva Water Hub for deletion
