Re: Request for sock puppet dataset edit

Re your message: As noted by Hut 8.5 in response to your question at Wikipedia talk:Administrator intervention against vandalism, the database dumps would be your best source for blocked accounts and IPs. Getting sockpuppet data is going to be more difficult as sockpuppets are not centrally logged anywhere. Sometimes the sock is noted in the block log, but sometimes not. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:29, 27 February 2014 (UTC)Reply

Gogo Dodo answered your general question that you posted on my talk page. As for the deleted List of Slashdot Trolls, the page I deleted was not, in fact, a list of trolls. The content was "'eat my balsssssssssssssssssssssszorrz0zzzzzrr GNAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" In general we are not supposed to post content from deleted pages anywhere on Wikipedia, but I think this was pretty insignificant and unlikely to libel us so I'm making an exception. The page has been deleted by other admins, usually containing a random person's name. By the way I'm a PHD student too; good luck with your research. Explaining edit

I patrolled your page. I went through the enormously-backlogged list of newly-created pages and confirmed that your page was okay: not spam, not an attack page, not a copyright violation, not any of the other reasons for which I would delete someone's page without asking. Then I clicked "patrolled" to remove it from the list of "pages that have not yet been patrolled", and moved on to the next entry. That's all. DS (talk) 15:42, 26 March 2014 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the link. I don't know how to proceed. I was not available for the last few weeks and just saw this. Do you know what to do? Pinging Jmorgan (WMF) too as he responded to a couple of similar situations.
