Copy and paste moves

edit

Hey Sonam. When you started Draft:Dinesh Soi (2) you copied and pasted the content from Draft:Dinesh Soi. You must not do this again as it causes copyright problems (in addityon to redundant content existing in two locations). I have fixed this by merging the draft histories. Note that pages are renamed by moving them, which preserves the page history. Best regards--Fuhghettaboutit (talk) 23:47, 22 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for the revert. Now, we have again re edited the article on Casting Director Mr. Dinesh Soi and tried our level best to make it acceptable. As written earlier, we are new to Wikipedia and its our article. We have learnt a lot of things and the process is still on. Whenever you get time, please see the article and let us know if still which thing is lacking and what should be done to make it acceptable. Thanks Sonam R Thakur (talk) 13:03, 24 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

You keep saying "we" please be advised that Wikipedia accounts are strictly for one person NOT groups of people. Theroadislong (talk) 18:04, 24 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
Hi Theroadislong .. Thanks for replying. Well, I, Sonam R Thakur, a Crew Member of DS Creations Entertainment Private Limited, had created an article on July 9th, 2015. I am really finding it difficult because creating an article on Wikipedia needs a proper detailed study. Our field is totally different and its our first effort. I keep on asking my fellow members for the help keeping in mind that they must understand some points which I may not be able to. Interestingly, even they find it difficult but still help me. So, I am an individual only who is writing the article but we all aren't getting the proper process to get an article published. Still enjoying the process. So, Theroadislong, please help me by having a look and tell me where I am lacking. Thanks Sonam R Thakur (talk) 19:56, 24 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
Your subject does not appear to be notable as far as Wikipedia is concerned. You need to read WP:BIO. Theroadislong (talk) 20:05, 24 July 2015 (UTC)Reply
I have reformatted and indented the above two posts. Thakur's ccomment was formatted as a level 2 heading. 220 of Borg 10:30, 25 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

Hello, Sonam R Thakur. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Draft:Dinesh Soi, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies. Note that Wikipedia's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

Sockpuppet investigation

edit

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Dinesh Soi, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.
