Hi, EnPassant, I see you tagged my article for deletion because the club is "non-notable". I disagree with this idea because this club is very engaged with both Stumptown AC and CLT FC. as of now, the club is Stumptown AC's only supporters group and has been named as such by the team's official IG account. Furthermore, the group is already in talks with CLT FC to discuss plans of further collaboration. Keeping the article is therefore encyclopedic and within Wikis guidelines. Please let me know if you'd like more sources and I would be happy to provide them to you. Thank you for the work you do! Simpsun728 (talk) 16:58, 8 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
Hello Simpsun728 (I assume), I recommend you log back into your account as to make it plain to see where each comment is coming from and not publicly reveal your IP address. As far as the deletion discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/QC Royals goes, it will be closed after a minimum of seven days, during which you have time to continue to improve the article, though I should caution you that I personally don't think it likely that this group will meet the notability criteria put forth at WP:ORGCRIT. AngryHarpytalk 17:05, 8 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
Hi AngryHarpy- thank you for letting me know about my ISP. I have removed it. I appreciate the criticism as well. I disagree about yours and EnPassant's assessments about the group's notability because other supporters' groups who have had even less notability than this one have remained on wikipedia, most notably the Dallas Beer Guardians of Dallas FC,[1], who do not hide the fact that they are a social club. I do not believe that this group is any different. Please let me know what sources the community would like for me to provide to legitimate my claims. Thank you! Simpsun728 (talk) 17:20, 8 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
You can find guidelines for the type of sources we're looking for at the link above (WP:ORGCRIT), but I'll gladly quote them here:

Individual sources must be evaluated separately and independently of each other and meet the four criteria below to determine if a source qualifies towards establishing notability.

  1. Contain significant coverage addressing the subject of the article directly and in depth.
  2. Be completely independent of the article subject.
  3. Meet the standard for being a reliable source.
  4. Be a secondary source, primary and tertiary sources do not count towards establishing notability.

Question Regarding Appalachian FC edit

Hi, Simpsun728. I see you put in work on the Appalachian FC new page. I am trying to get one made for Georgia Storm FC, who is in the same conference, but keep getting denied. Were you the publisher of Appalachian's article? I was hoping you could give some advice as they say Georgia Storm doesn't meet notability standards even though they qualified for the US Open Cup. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Georgia_Storm

Hi, Kevinw33. That's strange that it keeps getting taken down. Seems to me that Georgia Storm FC is just as legitimate as AFC is. In your responses to the editors, have you let them know that the team has a website, social media, etc? This seems like a no-brainer to me, so I am just as confused as you are. Let me know how I can help. Simpsun728 (talk) 17:41, 13 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
Simpsun728, I heard back that Appalachian FC and North Alabama SC were created using WP:Article Wizard rather than from scratch like I did. They apparently go through a different approval process. I resubmitted using the wizard... we'll see. Kevinw33 (talk) 18:49, 13 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
Simpsun728, rejected again... 90% of the NPSL teams have pages but I think I keep getting non-sports fans reviewing my page! Kevinw33 (talk) 14:39, 18 October 2021 (UTC)Reply

Mint Hill F.C. moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Mint Hill F.C., is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) (we don't consider Twitter a reliable source) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Thanks for this! I will keep the draft here until I can compile more sources. Simpsun728 (talk) 19:29, 11 October 2021 (UTC)Reply
