Best-selling albums in Australia

Hi Simone. Why did you remove specific references in List of best-selling albums in Australia? I think it will be better if we link them to the aria certification pages than combining the citations to Sidney Morning website. Also, Shania Twain's should be best-seller than Thriller, because Come on over was certified 15 platinum in 2000, while Thriller was just certified 15 platinum recently in 2009. Still, we should remember that the main purpose of the lead section is to summarize the (following) article--not to so much to summarize the article's subject (since the article as a whole serves the purpose of such summarizing). Live Bell

Regarding your revert of a revert of a change (which I've reverted again!) at Pink Floyd discography which asserted that a version of "What Do You Want from Me" taken from a bootleg album called Live Bell (which has no article at Wikipedia) charted at #13 on Billboard, it's obvious that Allmusic has made an error. Most likely, the official single charted at #16 in late 1994, then went a little higher to #13 in 1995, but Allmusic has linked the latter chart entry to a review of a bootleg album by mistake, causing it to appear in their chart history page for Pink Floyd. Your edit summary said "Respect the source", but the real source is Billboard, and Allmusic is just telling us what Billboard said (just as Wikipedia does in citing other sources), and appears to have screwed up. If you have a way of accessing Billboard chart data directly, and can determine that a live bootleg track really did chart, or (more likely) confirm that #13 is the real peak position for the official single, that would be respecting the source. (If you can confirm the latter, you would probably need to add a comment explaining that even though we are using Allmusic as a reference, their data is not correct as presented.) --A Knight Who Says Ni (talk) 16:01, 17 May 2010 (UTC)

If you had this kind of source, then why isn't it placed in the article? Secondly then you have to put, "According to Guinness Book of Records, Michael Jackson is the most successful performer of all-time". Because that is an opinion not a fact, as we can't judge fame or success, only in terms of sales or money. Hi SJ thanks for getting back to me. Now as i think understand what you're saying so correct me if a got it wrong.

Basically you're saying that MJ has been awarded both Artist of the century and Artist of the decade accolades but on different occasions, you're thinking that someone might mix them up so you're clarifying them. The thing is the AMAs Artist of the century award is very specific as its a once in a lifetime award from AMAs organisation. You don't need to explain the differnce because i find it ends up being more confusing than offering clarity as in my case. Hi. If you have something that specifically says that the Maritime Provinces were important, could you include it in the body of the article before putting it in the lead? Regarding Cyrus' contribution... One article you cited listed other people, too. Why not list them all? Because it would lead to hey lets add to the list. I've seen it before. Also, those newspapers offer a pretty short term perspective. For instance, much of Elvis' early was for the country divsion of RCA. And Garth was WAY more popular. It would be nice if you at least sought consensus from other editors on this article which has already had so much work done. Re this. If you have this book and are sure it reached number one can you also change the position in the charts section. I'm not comfortable doing it as I cannot check if you are correct. As an aside, because it is a good article and people sometimes revert what they see as chart inflations, putting a page number or something in the edit summary would really authenticate your change more. I reverted your edits do to your misinterpretation of what is written on the belt. A belt is only a physical representation of a championship. Whatever is written on a belt representing a championship does not necessarily indicate the literal name of the championship. For example, the World Heavyweight Championship (WWE) belt reads "WWE World Heavyweight Wrestling Champion," however the name of the championship is the World Heavyweight Championship, not the WWE World Heavyweight Wrestling Championship. The same istances are seen in the former World Tag Team Championship (WWE) belt which only reads "WWE Tag Team Champion" while the name of the title remains World Tag Team Championship. So the fact that a belt may have something written on it is irrelevant when it comes to the naming of the championship it represents. However, unless you have an official reliable source indicating that WCW did infact refer to the WCW Cruiserweight Championship as the WCW World Cruiserweight Championship, then by all means change it back. ^{--UnquestionableTruth--} 00:01, 8 April 2011 (UTC)

Oh yea about that. The thing is that there is just not enough evidence to support your case. As you noted, WCW was very ambiguous when it came to the naming of their titles. As for the announcers, the simple rule of thumb on Wikipedia is that announcers are bound to make mistakes and shouldn't be used as definitive sources. As for the actual name of the title in WCW, numerous third party books, such as The Death of WCW and video biographies refer to the title by the names "WCW Light Heavyweight Championship" (which was a different title in WCW lineage but considered the same title in WWE) WCW Cruiserweight Championship and WWF Cruiserweight Championship before the name WWE name change.^{--UnquestionableTruth--} 22:47, 9 May 2011 (UTC)

It's about whether or not Brown's domestic violence case should be divided into its own section, should go back to how it was originally combined with his career, or is placed well where it is now. Top Comprehensive Albums

You are dead wrong. Comprehensive chart does not take the place for international charts. It is only to be used if an album failed to enter any Billboard chart. This is similar to the Billboard Hot 100 and Hot 100 Airplay, where the Airplay chart is only to be used if a song failed to enter a Billboard chart. I don't understand why you think it takes the place of international charts. I think you are just trying to add more charts to the 2000s albums section because it doesn't have any international peaks. Maybe I'm right, maybe I'm wrong. You just need to understand that Comprehensive Albums is not a chart we use in tables, regardless of references or arguing. Just like Catalog Albums isn't used either. Hey, that chart you are referring to on the Casting Crowns discography isn't the Hot Christian AC - Billboard cancelled that. It IS, however, a former Radio and Records chart that Billboard now tracks after they absorbed R&R. Jackie Evancho discography

Hi! A few questions about this article.

First, Billboard info is out for her new album, Heavenly Christmas, but I have no idea how to enter it into the chart format in the article. Would you kindly look into it when you have a chance? Also some of her older albums are climbing back up the charts and have charted in other categories, like "catalogue" albums. Also, should we mention their longevity on the charts? O Holy Night and Dream With Me have been on some charts for more than 20 weeks, I think: I looked at billboard.com, but I am not sure how to interpret the historical information there very well. Also, I cited Grein at Yahoo! "Chart Watch" regarding the DVD performance. Do you have any idea where he is getting his DVD chart info for Dream With Me In Concert? Finally (sorry for all the questions), Evancho has a duet with Tony Bennett on his Duets II album, as a bonus track on the delux edition ("When you wish upon a star"). One of her songs is also included in a recent David Foster collection ("Pie Jesu"). Should those be mentioned in this discography article? I understand that the new issue reports that U.S. sales of Heavenly Christmas have topped 165,000. If so, can you update the discography with that info? Thank you for the sales number on Heavenly Christmas. Jackie is now in Japan and will perform concerts on January 11 and 13 and will likely do a lot of Japanese TV talk shows. Jackie Evancho discography

I reviewed your prose and made some small corrections. Please check it to make sure that I did not misunderstand something. In a few places, I do not understand exactly what you mean:

• "that includes also the year of recordings if the albums were released at least two years later"
• "unless they are counted separately from the original works in the charts"
• "the discography here reported is partial" - what is missing?
• "supported by peak weekly chart positions" - what do you mean by "supported by"?
• What are "bubbling under charts"?
• Why do you mention "Mongo Santamaría's version"?
• Head Hunters... was for a long time his best seller and the best selling Jazz album of all time. -- How long?

Thanks for the message. I tried to clarify your statement about "the discography here reported is partial" and a few other things based on your message. See if it is OK. I am not sure that it is helpful to mention "Mongo Santamaría's version" - it seems tangential to this discography, and I think it will confuse some readers. I recommend deleting it. You asked: "Why on English Wikipedia R&B music genre is always capitalized and the others are in lowercase?" Because R&B is an abbreviation for "Rhythm & Blues". Hi. Not all abbreviations are in caps. For example, abbrev. is an abbreviation. But if the abbreviation is expressed as an acronym, it usually is expressed in capital letters, like FBI or U.S. I understand your message about "every", but I still think that "every" is not helpful. People will understand that if something says 3x Platinum it must be 1 million x3, or whatever. The "every" doesn't add much and is more likely to confuse readers, I think. Meaning of sentence in Michael Jackson albums discography

In this version of the Michael Jackson albums discography is the following sequence that appears to have been written by you:

"Always in 1972, published a second studio album titled Ben, that peaked at #5 and in 1973 and 1975, released respectively, Music & Me and Forever, Michael, that were commercial disappointment, peaking at #92 and #101."
