Help me!

Please help me with... BLPs:

Hi folks, I'm planning on writing my first Wikipedia article soon, about a living person. I've read the pages on BLPs, notability, basics on writing articles, and more. I am confident that this subject meets the criteria for notability, even if they aren't a hugely well-known figure. However, the subject is also my father, which I know can complicate things. My first question is, what is the best way to disclose my relationship to the article subject for full transparency?

Although I feel like understand Wikipedia's policies well, and am confident in my ability and intention to write an unbiased article, I am concerned that once I am ready to publish, that it could be removed (or parts of it removed) without consultation. If anything is not relevant or violates Wikipedia's policies and standards in any way, I want to know about it so that I can improve the article. In other words, I want to know that there will be a feedback loop with the mutual goal of eventually producing a solid article that will remain published. I want to know what's wrong so that I can fix and improve it.

Do any users or admin have any advice for me? Any advice about my questions above or about writing BLPs is appreciated. Thanks!! Shay6485 (talk) 18:18, 12 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

WP:YFA is a good place to start, as is WP:PSCOI. I highly suggest you use the Article wizard to write your draft, as it will be reviewed by experienced editors after submission. If you want more help, change the {{help me-helped}} back into a {{help me}}, stop by the Teahouse, or Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Primefac (talk) 19:44, 12 December 2021 (UTC)Reply
