Welcome! edit

Hi Shamsu Rabiu Galadunchi! I noticed your contributions and wanted to welcome you to the Wikipedia community. I hope you like it here and decide to stay.

One of the first articles you edited appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason. You may find it helpful to review this page:

Plain and simple conflict of interest guide

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

In addition, if you receive, or expect to receive, compensation for any contribution you make, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation to comply with our terms of use and our policy on paid editing.

As you get started, you may find this short tutorial helpful:

Alternatively, the contributing to Wikipedia page covers the same topics.

If you have any questions, we have a friendly space where experienced editors can help you here:

May 2020 edit

As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Shamsu Rabiu Galadunchi, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Shamsu Rabiu Galadunchi|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. GSS💬 13:40, 8 May 2020 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Sadik Kassim edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sadik Kassim requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. List of African Presidents Who Died in Office moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, List of African Presidents Who Died in Office, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ––FormalDude (talk) 10:47, 6 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of James David Lalu edit

Hello Shamsu Rabiu Galadunchi,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged James David Lalu for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Hello M. Ashraf333,
In response to tagging James David Lalu for deletion, I am of the opinion that the person is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia because his office and appointment by the President impact millions of people in the country and it is the first of its kind when disabled people have a federal government agency in charge of thier affairs. In addition to that, the scattered facts about him and his contributions need to be put in one place.
You might have underrated the position and relevance of the subject due to the simple language used, but I believe if it gets more facts and links, it will appear as you assumed it to be.
Thank you very much for your explanation. Shamsu Rabiu Galadunchi (talk) 06:45, 7 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

Labo Yari moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Labo Yari, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 16:04, 25 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thank you very much Onel for your observation and move. Intending to address the issue of poor citation, I went through my references but I could not trace where I relied on 'interviews' to establish a fact. The citations come from Google Scholar and the like. This is especially because someone removed bio-data of the subjects such as his state, nationality and the studies.
Unless you are questioning the notability of the pioneer author in Northern Nigeria, but I cannot identify 'trivial' citations so something of that nature.
Thank you once again. Shamsu Rabiu Galadunchi (talk) 08:23, 26 March 2023 (UTC)Reply
