July 2012 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Tomchi (film) has been reverted.
Your edit here to Tomchi (film) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18a36bvHwsU) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. File:Tomchi First Look..jpg edit

Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:Tomchi First Look..jpg has been listed for speedy deletion because you selected a copyright license type implying some type of restricted use, such as for non-commercial use only, or for educational use only or for use on Wikipedia by permission. While it might seem reasonable to assume that such files can be freely used on Wikipedia, this is in fact not the case[1][2]. Please do not upload any more files with these restrictions on them, because images on Wikipedia need to be compatible with the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike or another free license, which allow anyone to use it for any purpose, commercial or non-commercial. See our non-free content guidelines for more more information.

If you created this media file and want to use it on Wikipedia, you may re-upload it (or amend the image description if it has not yet been deleted) and use the license {{cc-by-sa-3.0}} to license it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 license, or use {{PD-self}} to release it into the public domain. Note, if you did create this file, you may want to upload it to Wikimedia Commons, which will allow the image to be accessed by all Wikimedia Foundation projects (which include the various localized versions of Wikipedia)

If you did not create this media file, please understand that the vast majority of images found on the internet are not appropriate for Wikipedia. Most content on the internet is copyrighted and the creator of the image has exclusive rights to use it. Wikipedia respects the copyrights of others - do not upload images that violate others' copyrights. In certain limited cases, we may be able to use an image under a claim of fair use - if you are certain that fair use would apply here, you may choose one of the fair use tags from this list. If no fair use rationale applies, you may want to contact the copyright holder and request that they make the media available under a free license.

If you have any questions please ask at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) (contribs) 11:00, 23 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (File:Official poster of the film In The name Of Tai.jpg) edit

Thanks for uploading File:Official poster of the film In The name Of Tai.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Hazard-Bot (talk) 04:36, 29 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:This is Picture of Director Late Sultan Ahmed.png edit

Thanks for uploading File:This is Picture of Director Late Sultan Ahmed.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 12:01, 16 August 2012 (UTC)Reply

The article Four Two Ka One has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Rampant vandalism. Exact copy pasting of material.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Speedy deletion nomination of Mungerilal B. Tech edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mungerilal B. Tech requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Speedy deletion nomination of File:Photo of director Giresh Naik K.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Photo of director Giresh Naik K.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted content borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

February 2016 edit

Hello, I'm Tokyogirl79. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Please be careful when writing articles. Using phrases like "beautiful locations" or "extremely thrilling" is seen as non-neutral and at worst, extremely promotional. Final notice on copyright violations edit

Hi, please stop copying content from the Internet and adding it to Wikipedia. Copyright violations are not tolerated, and plagiarism is academically dishonest. The plot summary you added in these edits at Chapekar Brothers (film) can be found in part here and here. The tone alone is inappropriate for inclusion, because you're not actually describing the film's plot (which you would not be able to do anyway, since the movie has not been released) you're merely editorializing about the "glorious" "struggle" of "fearless" people. Plot summaries have a beginning, a middle and an end. Plot summaries must be written from scratch in your own words, not copied or even closely paraphrased from other sources. If you are not capable of doing this, please do not attempt it.

In addition, you made a number of other unconstructive edits, including the unexplained removal of the {{lang-hi}} template. You changed the name of the cinematographer without providing a reference, you added a release date without providing a reference, you removed references from the cast list and replaced it with unsourced content, you inexplicably removed the embedded notes that remind users to add references so as not to violate WP:CRYSTAL, and you added Indic script to the lead which we do not do per WP:NOINDICSCRIPT. So pretty much every aspect of your edits was contrary to existing community consensus. Please don't submit unsourced content in the future and please don't remove sourced content without a clear, rational explanation. You should also be using edit summaries to explain each of your edits. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:21, 6 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Aarti Rana at Big Life OK Now Awards.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Aarti Rana at Big Life OK Now Awards.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia.

Replaceable fair use File:Bharat Patel (Left) along with Rishi Kapoor during the shoot of movie.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Bharat Patel (Left) along with Rishi Kapoor during the shoot of movie.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Majora (talk) 23:48, 29 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Your reason here I agree that page Redrum A Tale of Murder is created by my colleague with reliable third party source such Times Of India, Midday , Bollywood Hungama, because of that blocking my account is unfair, I am regular contributor of movies and entertainment Wikipedia since 2012 . Requesting to unblock my account Page. Deletion Page of Redrum A tale of murder may subject to policy of Wikipedia, but I believe that there is enough third party link related to movie also this movie stars internationally known actor like Tom Alter

Decline reason:

Declined for now. I'm not clear on what you mean by your "colleague". If you are a paid editor, per WP:PAID, you must disclose who is paying you, who the client is, and any other relevant role or relationship. If you and other editors are being paid to contribute to Wikipedia, you all must adhere to our policies. Being a paid editor does not immediately disqualify you or others from editing, so long as you are all being transparent, but if you're all hiding from scrutiny and corroborating to promote various films, actors, or whatever the agenda is, that's not going to be tolerated. So maybe you need to run this up the corporate chain or something. I don't know/care. However, the greater issue is that you have been blocked for trying to circumvent scrutiny by making questionable edits from multiple accounts. In order to be unblocked, you need to address these specific issues. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 05:26, 16 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Saandesh B. Nayak edit

Hi, I'm Salimfadhley. Sandhya2012, thanks for creating Saandesh B. Nayak!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. Please get rid of the "naked" hyperlinks and replace them with correctly written web-citations.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse.

Proposed deletion of Bodhisattava International Film Festival edit

The article Bodhisattava International Film Festival has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Not enough coverage in reliable sources. Some passing mentions ("so and so got an award at..") but not enough to justify a stand-alone article.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. menaechmi (talk) 17:55, 22 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

The file File:Music poster of Thodi Thodi Si Manmaaniyan.jpg has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-free album cover being used in a decorative manner in Thodi Thodi Si Manmaaniyan#Soundtrack. Non-free album cover art is generally allowed to be used for primary identification purposes in stand-alone articles about albums, but its use in other articles is generally only allowed when the cover art itself is the subject of sourced critical commentary as explained in WP:NFC#cite_note-3 and the context for non-free use required by WP:NFCC#8 is evident. There is no such commentary for this particular album cover anywhere in the article, and the use of soundtrack album cover art in articles about films or TV programs is generally not allowed for this reason as explained in WP:FILMSCORE.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. -- Marchjuly (talk) 06:29, 25 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
