Heya

I've made the changes to the 9/14 DYK for Girl on the Third Floor. Care to take a look? - Jack Sebastian (talk) 15:16, 23 September 2019 (UTC)

Would you kindly ask someone else to weigh in? - Jack Sebastian (talk) 18:11, 23 September 2019 (UTC)
That's what I did by putting the   icon on the nomination. That's a signal that it needs a re-review. Raymie (tc) 18:14, 23 September 2019 (UTC)
Right, but to those in a hurry, the icon makes it look like the problems you are iconing are not resolved. I am concerned that a visitor skimming the entry might think there are too many problems to deal with and just bypass it. - Jack Sebastian (talk) 18:27, 23 September 2019 (UTC)
There are a lot of veterans and active regulars of DYK who will know exactly what to do. Raymie (tc) 18:54, 23 September 2019 (UTC)

@UnitedStatesian: Consider it a G7 - it was created before I realized WBRL (AM) last broadcast in 1990, not 1993. Raymie (tc) 05:46, 12 October 2019 (UTC)

Please could you fix up a few missing citations in this article, before it is scheduled to go live on the main page? I've swapped it with your other article, WPSA so you have a little while before it's due to go live. Cheers  — Amakuru (talk) 12:19, 13 October 2019 (UTC)

I'm sure you have a two-month backlog of radio stations now! Good news is I'm probably going to take a break from most DYKs (except a Mexican TV station launching 10/31 I need to write up) so that it can go through the system. Raymie (tc) 17:53, 13 October 2019 (UTC)

WYNA

Does this make a difference to you? WYNA, like most radio stations licensed to small towns, is not located in a small town, but in the larger city that is where its radio market is located. The address is 4841 Highway 17 Byp S Myrtle Beach. Also, WYEZ is at 3926 Wesley St Ste 301; Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, not in Andrews.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 20:05, 19 September 2019 (UTC)

@Vchimpanzee: I think that's fair and I've been trying to hyphenate when I do short descriptions of stations like that. Do you think it'd be better to have short descriptions be strictly metro area/market? Raymie (tc) 20:26, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
I don't know. I just know the radio stations aren't located in the city of license.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 20:28, 19 September 2019 (UTC)
Once again, there is a radio station that moved from its city of license. WJMX-FM is at 181 E Evans Street Suite 311 Florence, SC 29506, not Cheraw.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 17:19, 18 October 2019 (UTC)
@Vchimpanzee: I've been typically double-barreling these with COL and the metropolitan area. I think it might be best asked of WPRS what the standard should be for short descriptions. Should I go ahead and ask on talk? Raymie (tc) 19:43, 18 October 2019 (UTC)
You're the one doing it. I just want it to be accurate, and I don't know what they want.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 19:45, 18 October 2019 (UTC)

There's a discrepancy on the ERP for the FM; the infobox shows 3 kW, but the link "IFT Coverage Viewer" shows 10 kw, Class B1. I'll let you make the determination on which is correct. User:Rudy2alan (talk)

2019 US Banknote Contest

  US Banknote Contest
November-December 2019

There are an estimated 30,000 different varieties of United States banknotes, yet only a fraction of these are represented on Wikimedia Commons in the form of 2D scans. Additionally, Colonial America, the Confederate States, the Republic of Texas, multiple states and territories, communities, and private companies have issued banknotes that are in the public domain today but are absent from Commons.

In the months of November and December, WikiProject Numismatics will be running a cross-wiki upload-a-thon, the 2019 US Banknote Contest. The goal of the contest is to increase the number of US banknote images available to content creators on all Wikimedia projects. Participants will claim points for uploading and importing 2D scans of US banknotes, and at the end of the contest all will receive awards. Whether you want to claim the Gold Wiki or you just want to have fun, all are invited to participate.

If you do not want to receive invitations to future US Banknote Contests, follow the instructions here
