Speedy deletion nomination of CloudSEK edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on CloudSEK requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.   Kadzi  (talk) 11:32, 2 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

July 2020 edit

Hello SahilZAC. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to CloudSEK, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:SahilZAC. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=SahilZAC|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. GSS💬 14:25, 2 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for reviewing GSS💬, Eventhough I did the edits for points and reputation not for any kind of paid purpose. I have stated my employer in my profile. I found out that there is no article about CloudSEK and Rahul Sasi in Wikipedia eventhough there are numerous public sources about them. As a rising startup by creating there page would give me good reps, which was my sole purpose. SahilZAC (talk) 15:08, 2 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

July 2020 edit

Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have an undisclosed financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.

If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page. For that request to be considered, you must:

  • Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
  • State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
  • Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future. MER-C 15:41, 11 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I havent used Wikipedia as a paid medium, Whatever i have addded in the page was quoted on Public mediums. I did read saw there was no page for the Company nor its founder even though he was renowed speaker in Cybersecurity. I will not be editing anymore on this topic. SahilZAC (talk) 21:08, 14 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

I have reason to believe you are not being truthful here, that your connection to cloudsek is far closer than you are letting on. As I have concluded you have been violating WP:COI and WP:PAID, I am obligated to decline your unblock request and endorse the block. You are welcome to make a new unblock request, but you will have to exactly specify your relationship to cloudsek. Yamla (talk) 21:17, 14 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

You'll also need to specify how come you personally own the copyright to File:CloudSEK_logo.png, as you claim, if you are completely unrelated to CloudSEK. That is literally not possible. --Yamla (talk) 21:18, 14 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

SahilZAC (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

I simply uploaded the File (i shouldnt have, nor the copyrights with me) as i got it from there media kit on their website. I dont own the copyright to the file. I have declared my current employer in my talk page also. Also the CloudSEK had no Promotional content over it, where as the everything was either quoted by news agencies. I will not be editing anything further about the topic but will be abiding by the rules of Wikipedia. SahilZAC (talk) 10:43, 16 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

You personally may not have a financial stake, but your company clearly does and you certainly have a financial stake in working for your company. You won't be unblocked to edit about anything you have a conflict of interest with. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 09:41, 27 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

What topics will you edit about? 331dot (talk) 10:52, 16 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

On your user page, you declared that you work for Eastern Condiments. They are listed as an investor in CloudSek. Your claim, therefore, that you are completely unrelated to CloudSek is false and a clear attempt to mislead us. You do indeed have a conflict of interest. --Yamla (talk) 10:57, 16 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please let me know what can be done in that case. Should I declare the same in my profile.? I still say i have no financial stake in CloudSEK. SahilZAC (talk) 14:01, 16 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Kindly unblock please. Let me know what to be done ? SahilZAC (talk) 08:47, 27 July 2020 (UTC)Reply
