The article 2012–13 F.C. United of Manchester season has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

As agreed here and confirmed here, clubs lower than the Conference National are deemed below the notability threshold for season articles.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. 2012–13 F.C. United of Manchester season edit

The notability rule suggests that all clubs who have reached Conference National level and are currently playing their football at that level, can have articles for past seasons.

Rebel, I have been through exactly what you have here, when I first started on Wiki, but I soon realised what I could and couldn't do. Thanks, --Liamtaylor007 (talk) 17:56, 5 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

I have give it an Afd and we will see what the consensus is after that is over, but for the mean time why don't you bring it up here at the WikiProject Football page, they will shed a lot more light on the situation for you, thanks for your co-operation Rebel, I appreciate it. --Liamtaylor007 (talk) 18:06, 5 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Season article edit

Looks like the best chance of the page being kept is if enough references can be found from non-FC sources. If you find, say 20, and put them in the format <ref>[link]</ref>, leave a message on my talk page and I'll go to the page and use Reflinks to fill in all the details from the links (i.e. names, article authors, dates, access dates etc.) I think many people won't start voting "keep" until the article is shown to pass WP:GNG. Delsion23 (talk) 11:05, 6 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

You're probably right. Hopefully in about five hours I can sit down and really start working on it. Red Rebel 05 (talk) 14:06, 6 October 2012 (UTC)Reply
Just to add to the above, if you haven't got it yet i'd seriously suggest installing wikEd, it's a fantastically useful tool and makes adding references super easy by providing you with a form for you to input the information. You can do it in the gadgets panel on preferences if you need any help feel free to ping me on my page. Narom (talk) 15:28, 6 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

I think it's looking good :) and that's the kind of stuff that needs to be added to the article to show that it passes WP:GNG. External sources are key. Delsion23 (talk) 17:44, 7 October 2012 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for October 7 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2012–13 Rochdale A.F.C. season, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Gillingham and Ashley Grimes (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
