Conflict of interest

Hello, Rdshukla. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

Paid editing

I have a feeling, given your connections to your company, that you have been paid to create articles on Wikipedia. I would like you to look over our policy on paid editing, which you can find at WP:PAY. Being a paid editor doesn't mean that you can't edit, but it does mean that you have to be upfront about your conflict of interest and you have to take pains to be more neutral in tone as well as follow guidelines perfectly. More specifically, about this particular article, of the 5 references 2 were to the company website, one to a product of the copy,one to a press release, and one to a press release about an award. None of these are reliable sources for showing something is notable: we require multiple references providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources, print or online, but not blogs or press releases, or material derived from press releases. There is no hope of making an article about this company unless such sources are available--it is advisable before attempting an article, to check that surch sources exist. The other company you mention is fifty times the size, and therefore has many more genuine references covering it. (True, it is not a very satisfactory article in other respects, and it has been marked for improvement. I have already started work on it. ) If you see any more unsatisfactory articles, by all means bring them to our attention--but do not add to their number. DGG ( talk ) 00:49, 18 January 2014 (UTC)
