Speedy deletion nomination of User:Rarewaves

edit

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:Rarewaves, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be advertising which only promotes or publicises someone or something. Promotional editing of any kind is not permitted, whether it be promotion of a person, company, product, group, service, belief, or anything else. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Hello. I'm afraid I might have made a mistake in trying to create a new page. I created the page in my sandbox, then tried to move it to the main Wikipedia site, but I think I mistakenly created the page User:Rarewaves. My user name is Quicksilver Baby - I am not connected with Rarewaves and this is not intended as promotional, merely factual. I'd appreciate your advice in what I should do now. Thanks and my apologies. Quicksilver Baby (talk) 02:18, 18 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for that explanation. What I have done @Quicksilver Baby is restored the text and moved it to Draft:Rarewaves where it awaits review. I'd recommend adding a little more about what it does and why it's notable to make the reviewer's work easier. Let me know if you have any questions. And no apology needed, it's not always intuitive. Star Mississippi 13:18, 18 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
@Jimfbleak would you consider undeleting this? I'm talking with the editor above and believe the draft is salvageable, although I'm not sure the company is notable. I had just undeleted it myself. Thanks! Star Mississippi 13:37, 18 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Star, I missed that move, restored Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:01, 18 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thanks so much for the quick response. Star Mississippi 14:28, 18 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your response, it's much appreciated. Also, thanks for your recommendations about the content. I'll get the hang of this sooner or later!
Best regards. Quicksilver Baby (talk) 14:06, 18 October 2022 (UTC)Reply
