Welcome edit

Hello Phantom Lancer001 and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your contributions, such as the ones to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/ATK Reserves and Academy, do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox (but beware that the contents of the sandbox are deleted frequently) rather than in articles.

If you still have questions, there is a new contributors' help page, or you can click here to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.

I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. Feel free to write a note on the bottom of my talk page if you want to get in touch with me. Again, welcome! Regards, SshibumXZ (talk · contribs). 13:51, 10 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Asish Pradhan moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Asish Pradhan, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Disambiguation link notification for January 21 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited ATK (football club), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ashley Westwood (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

ATK B Players edit

Hey! The reason I nominated both those pages for deletion is because they have not played a single second in the I-League, Indian Super League, or with clubs in those two leagues in the Super Cup against another club in those two leagues. The reason why those two leagues are selected is because they are fully-professional leagues. Every player in the I-League and ISL are fully-pro, don't have second or seasonal jobs, participate in Asian competition etc. The I-League 2nd Division is not fully-professional and therefore playing in it doesn't get you a wikipedia page. See WP:NFOOTBALL for player notability rules. Cheers. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 06:46, 3 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Okay, look, if you believe I am wrong and the second division is fully-professional, then make a case at WP:FPL with proper sources that the I-League 2nd Division clubs pay all their players full-time salaries, they don't need second jobs etc. They don't. Players on clubs like ARA, TRAU, Fatah Hyderabad are not full-time footballers and need to either go into coaching or other jobs. Some institutional. I am based in the US but been editing Indian football articles for over a decade but that doesn't matter, doesn't matter where you are located, don't be ignorant. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 13:53, 3 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, Draft:Asish Pradhan edit

Hello, Phantom Lancer001. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Asish Pradhan".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Lapablo (talk) 10:19, 15 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Updating caps and stats edit

Hello, I'm Robby.is.on. Welcome to Wikipedia! I just wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions were not quite right. When updating statistics within the infobox of a footballer, please make sure you update the timestamp at the same time, so that both readers and fellow editors know when the information was last updated.

You can do this by replacing the existing timestamp within the |club-update= or |pcupdate= parameter for club stats, or the |nationalteam-update= or |ntupdate= parameter for international stats. For articles that use a DMY date format, use five tildes (~~~~~), or for MDY dates, use {{subst:mdytime}}. This will generate the specific time the update was made.

If you have any questions about this, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you, Robby.is.on (talk) 14:20, 5 June 2019 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Sumit Rathi edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Sumit Rathi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. March 2023 edit

Hello, I'm C.Fred. I noticed that you recently removed content from ATK Mohun Bagan FC without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. I'm not seeing why you broke the link to the current team's article. A case could be made for deleting the eSports section, but that would at least need an edit summary, if not discussion on the talk page.C.Fred (talk) 11:51, 15 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

I see what you did with splitting the eSports team to its own article, but there were two glaring errors made:

  1. There was no link from the main article to the eSports team.
  2. Critically, there was no attribution in ATK Mohun Bagan FC eSports to indicate where you copied the text from.

I have fixed these two issues—most importantly, providing attribution of the text, which is required for licensing and copyright reasons. —C.Fred (talk) 11:58, 15 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

An article you recently created, ATK Mohun Bagan FC eSports, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia).
