Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page SOREA Band has been reverted.
Your edit here to SOREA Band was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.youtube.com/soreatv) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. SOREA band

edit

Please STOP adding bold text to this article, as this contravenes the Manual of Style MOS:BOLD, and please also read MOS:ITALICS for where italics should be used.
Please also stop adding every concert and other reference to the band that you can find. Wikipedia is not a directory WP:NOTDIR and we do not need such overlong lists. - Thank you - Arjayay (talk) 07:38, 24 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Arjayay I understand your concerns and is taking consideration of the three links you have posted to me. I am new at this and am trying to fix things up as I go. I Thank you for your help in sorting things out but it seems that you keep on deleting and undoing my changes in progress. Would it be fine if I make some changes and ask for help to fix problems and sort the page out? I don't want to just undo what others have done to improve wikipedia but I am getting a little frustrated at the rate my changes are being undone while they are being edited. I hope you take this into consideration. But still, thanks a lot for the notice and everything. Pennene11 (talk) 07:46, 24 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your reply. Most of the things that have been deleted are contrary to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines - in particular those mentioned above. It is better that these are dealt with, and the reasons explained, as you go along, as otherwise someone will just revert the entire article to a much earlier version and everything you have added will be lost.
Please understand this is an Encyclopedia article - not a SOREA band fan-site - think of what would be suitable for an encyclopedia and only include that. Encyclopedias are also written in prose, and are not a collection of lists.
Please remember, more is not better, as the important points get lost in a sea of trivia. I am not a very strict editor - I know several editors who would remove your lists of "Sole concerts" "Principal concert log" and "overseas" completely, and the longer you make them, the more likely they are to be deleted. - Arjayay (talk) 08:01, 24 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the reply Arjayay. I'll keep that in mind. I guess I went a little far with the list on a "encyclopedia". I'll take your advise in and try to make small changes and see where they go first. Thanks a lot. One more thing, I wanted to upload a photo licensed to SOREA Band but I am not a confirmed user yet. I read the articles on how to get confirmation but would it be possible to summarize it and tell me in brief details on how to become a confirmed user. Thanks again. Pennene11 (talk) 11:53, 24 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
As explained at WP:AUTOCONFIRM, accounts become autoconfirmed after 10 edits and 4 days (unless you are using a Tor network).
As you already have 108 edits - that criteria has already been met. Your first edit was at 03.31 UTC on 22 April, so your 4 days will be up at 03.32 UTC on 26 April - i.e. in about 13.5 hours time (although I understand it can take up to an hour for your status to be upgraded) - Arjayay (talk) 14:00, 25 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:Profile Picture of SOREA Band, Taya.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Profile Picture of SOREA Band, Taya.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Peripitus (Talk) 11:27, 1 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
