Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Terminus of US 46

edit

Per the NJDOT SLD, US 46 follows I-95 and US 1/9 to end at the state line on the George Washington Bridge, even though signage may not indicate that. Please stop changing articles to imply that US 46 ends at I-95 and does not follow it to the bridge. Dough4872 01:46, 8 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Interstate 787

edit

Hi there, thank you for your edits to Wikipedia, just wanted to point out a few things regarding your recent edits to Interstate 787.

Generally speaking, junction lists do not include destinations and routes that are not present on guide signs, this includes hospitals and railway stations (see MOS:RJL). Additional information can be presented in the notes, but this really should be for notable landmarks and destinations only, as Wikipeida is not a travel guide. Also, please do not add icons in the middle of text, as this violates MOS:RJL and presents readability issues (also see WP:NOICONS). It is also the practice not to include "TO" highways in the infobox, as this information is detailed in the route description and junction list and creates unnecessary clutter. The last thing with regard to your edits is I-787's southern terminus. On both Google Street View and in the NYS mileage reports, only the Thruway is exit 1 _and_ the Thruway is the official southern terminus of I-787. Please do not change the mileposts/exit number to indicate otherwise, as this is not correct.

Hope this is helpful information, feel free to ask questions! You can also pose questions in the US Roads project talk page. C16SH (speak up) 16:46, 12 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Please stop your disruptive editing on the NYS Thruway articles. Information not posted on signs should not be in the destinations column. C16SH (speak up) 21:15, 12 January 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Visioncurve. I noticed that you recently removed content from List of proposed state mergers without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please preview, consolidate, and summarize

edit

Hello- Below are a few editing suggestions to make it easier for you and others to collaborate on the encyclopedia. Please preview, consolidate, and summarize your edits:

  • Try to consolidate your edits, at least at the section level, to avoid cluttering the page's edit history; this makes it easier for your fellow editors to understand your intentions, and makes it easier for those monitoring activity on the article.
    • The show preview button (beside the "publish changes" button) is helpful for this; use it to view your changes incrementally before finally saving the page once you're satisfied with your edits.
  • Please remember to explain each edit with an edit summary (box above the "publish changes" button).

Thanks in advance for considering these suggestions. Eric talk 04:21, 30 July 2020 (UTC)Reply

Spur of US 1

edit

I noticed you indicated in the infoboxes of roads such as Massachusetts Route 1A that they are spurs of US 1. This is not true as they are state highways that just happen to have numbers related to US 1. A spur of US 1 would be a 3-digit US highway ending in x01 such as U.S. Route 301.   Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Orange County, New York, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. HankScorpio1519 (talk) 01:56, 16 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

List of active separatist movements in Europe

edit

Please respond at Talk:List of active separatist movements in Europe#Åland. --T*U (talk) 11:10, 17 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Update: I checked your last edit to the entry of Serbia in the list article. Again I found that there is no basis for your additions in any of the target articles. I also went back to your earlier additions, with the same negative result. There is, of course, a possibility that your additions are correct, but in that case, you will have to support the claim with a source. Following the negative result here, I have gone further back and checked some of your earlier edits to similar articles, and I have come up with the same disappointing result even there.
If you want to make such additions in the future, you should first check if the target article does support your claim. If it is well-sourced in the target article, that is usully enough in a list article like this. If not, it will have to be sourced specifically in the list article. See WP:RS about how to identify reliable sourced.
I also see that you do not take part in talk page discussions, like the one you were invited to by me just above here (Åland). Wikipedia is a community project where editors are supposed to cooperate in order to heighten the quality of the encyclopedia. If you are not willing to take part in such discussions, you make it more difficult for other editors, since we will have to guess what you try to obtain and why.
Another way to communicate with other editors is through edit summaries, where you can explain what you have done in an edit and/or why, which is a great help for other editors. Please see WP:EDITSUMMARY about how and to use edit summaries. --T*U (talk) 15:48, 28 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
