Al Harlow

Please familiarize yourself with our notability standards for musicians and our reliable sourcing requirements. Every member of every band is not automatically entitled to have his own standalone biographical article, separately from the one that already exists about the band, just because he exists — to qualify for a standalone article as a separate topic, rather than a redirect to his band, a musician has to be able to show some evidence of independent notability for reasons outside the band, such as solo albums. An article on here also has to be based on reliable sources — you are not allowed to reference an article solely to the band's own self-published website about itself, or to base it on personally interviewing him to collect biographical facts not reflected in any media coverage about him or the band, but must restrict the article solely to what can be reliably sourced to media coverage about him and the band.

That's how this place works. If you want a standalone biographical article about him to exist separately from the band, then what you need to show is that (a) he has a credible notability claim separate from just being a member of a band, such as solo albums, and (b) that notability claim can be referenced to media coverage about him in newspapers and books and magazines. The question of whether Al Harlow gets his own Wikipedia article or not is not his decision to make, because we're not a free public relations platform for people to write about themselves — it's Wikipedia's decision to make, according to Wikipedia's rules for inclusion and sourceability. Hello! Voting in the 2022 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 12 December 2022. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
