further explanation

edit

As reviewing administrator, I think you need a further explanation. The sources you have been adding do not indicate notability , for they are not references providing substantial coverage from 3rd party independent published reliable sources. You would need multiple articles from reliable independent newspapers or the like. For festivals such as this, they are almost never available--everything that appears will either be a mere notice of the event or a press release. Unless you really have such sources, it's unlikely there can ever be an article. DGG ( talk ) 03:07, 18 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

The article seems reasonable - do not be discouraged by a decline, but please provide actual references, I'm sure there are some press articles, as your subject seems notable. Read this >> WP:CITE << and resubmit, good luck! From, CathMontgomery (talk) 20:28, 18 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please do not edit war over image size

edit

The logo File:Recstacy Logo.png, as a non-free image, must comply with WP:NFC(please read) minimalization restrictions on non-free images, including size. This bold, low-detail logo contains nothing to justify exceeding 320x320 (>90K pixels). If any text were to become unreadable, the usual practice is to replicate it in the description parameter of the rationale template. For more information, please read WP:EDITWAR. --Lexein (talk) 10:23, 28 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Kumarvivek0811. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your COI when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. SmartSE (talk) 20:14, 7 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Further Explanation

edit

Hi Smartse, I wasn't aware about the conflict of interest (COI). This page is for a notable website and is not advertising.

It satisfies Wikipedia's guidelines:

  1. The content itself has been the subject of multiple non-trivial published works whose source is independent of the site itself
  2. This criterion includes reliable published works in all forms, such as newspaper and magazine articles, books, television documentaries, and published reports by consumer watchdog organizations.
  3. The website or content has won a well-known, reputable, and independent award, either from a publication or organisation

Wikipedia guidelines for an article to be included in the encyclopedia:

  1. To be worth including in the encyclopedia a subject must be sufficiently notable and that notability must be verifiable through references to reliable sources.
  2. These sources should be reliable (some examples include (but are not limited to): books published by major publishing houses, newspapers, magazines, peer-reviewed scholarly journals)

I have already tried to publish the articles without any bias as per Wikipedia guidelines. This wasn't a paid job and there was no compensation involved for this. There are other similar pages available on wikipedia. All the information is verifiable and is from good sources (i.e. have a reputation for reliability). I am not sure about other things I am required to do to resolve this COI. Please suggest the things I should be doing to make sure this issue is resolved. Thanks.

Thanks for uploading File:NIT Durgapur Logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:40, 8 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
