Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Damon Albarn, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Musical. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Thank you for your contributions. One of your recent contributions to Gorillaz has been reverted or removed, because it contains speculative or unconfirmed information about a future event. Please only add material about future events if it is verifiable, based on a reference to a reliable source. Thank you. And even then, that source must not indicate speculative and uncertain plans about possible projects. Dl2000 (talk) 03:55, 5 August 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. Novelty songs

edit

Hi, How are you determining which pages to categorize as novelty songs. The few I looked at didn't mention their being novelty or comic. --John (User:Jwy/talk) 03:14, 17 April 2020 (UTC)Reply

Quite right Jwy. Looking at their contributions it's pretty obvious they do not understand the term "novelty song". Wikipedia says... A novelty song is a comical or nonsensical song, performed principally for its comical effect. As such I am reverting these disruptive mass edits. Robvanvee 07:39, 17 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Quite. Novelty songs are about intent, not reception, which is where the the wires are getting crossed IMO. "Tubthumping" for example may have been mocked and parodied, but it was released by the band as a serious, straightforward song. Conversely, Tom Lehrer is (still alive at 90 god bless) the king of novelty songs, intentionally satirical and humorous fare like "Poisoning Pigeons in the Park". Zaathras (talk) 11:51, 17 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Minimally, I think the article itself should either explicitly or implicitly show the subject belongs to the category --John (User:Jwy/talk) 14:32, 17 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
Ok, thanks for the corrections. Sorry about that. I'll use better judgement next time when editing. -JordanPowers95 04:08, 18 April 2020 (UTC)

Unspecified source/license for File:Gorillaz Present Song Machine.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Gorillaz Present Song Machine.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|cc-by-sa-4.0}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. Speedy deletion nomination of Superplastic (company)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Superplastic (company) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Superplastic (Company). When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Why'd you remove Song Machine from the List of adult animated internet series page?

I mean, by all accounts, it is a web series and would fall under the internet series umbrella... Unless you think its a TV series, in which case, it should be added to the List of adult animated television series page.
