This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". Just some general tips that will help you edit paleontology articles in the future that come from some of your errors that i have fixed on the above article:
- Species and genus name need to be in italics
- the specific part of the binomial does not need a capital letter
- when referring to a specific species the generic name is shortened to the first letter with a full stop (but the above rule still persists) e.g. D. herschelensis
- species and genus are not referred to as "the (species....)" but as "(species....)"
- specie is not a scientifc word it is species (ieven when an apostrophe is needed the apostrophe goes after the s i.e. "species' "
I also removed two sections as they were not neccessary or of importance to the article for instance, articles on extinct animals do not mention where the remains are currently housed. Tknifton (talk) 15:18, 16 October 2019 (UTC)
