Hello JohnMcClaneSr. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:JohnMcClaneSr. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=JohnMcClaneSr|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Theroadislong (talk) 09:47, 8 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for letting me know, I promptly made the necessary disclosure as per your request and I appreciate your teaching. JohnMcClaneSr (talk) 10:52, 8 December 2021 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Logo of Qlone application.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Logo of Qlone application.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 03:46, 10 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

March 2022

Hello, I'm HMSLavender. I noticed that in this edit to Lego Life of George, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. lavender|(formerly HMSSolent)|lambast 08:13, 22 March 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hello @HMSLavender, thank you for the kind message and teaching. The reason I removed "with George" from the app name is that the true name was "Build Your Brain" and not "Build Your Brain with George". There are many sources for that. I will fix it and leave an explanation.
Thank you JohnMcClaneSr (talk) 08:28, 22 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hello, and thank you for responding. You might find it easier to cite references by activating the ProveIt gadget - you will find it in the editing section of the gadgets tab of your preferences. Object Capture (API) moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, Object Capture (API), is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Your draft article, Draft:Object Capture (API)

edit

Hello, JohnMcClaneSr. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Object Capture".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted.
