Speedy deletion nomination of Hizon's Catering

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Hizon's Catering requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. AllyD (talk) 07:47, 4 March 2016 (UTC)Reply

  Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Hizon's Catering, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. Your draft article, Draft:Hizon's Catering

Hello, Jenv Corre. It has been over six months since you last edited your Articles for Creation draft article submission, "Hizon's Catering".

In accordance with our policy that Articles for Creation is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. 1989 (talk) 16:45, 15 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

  Hello, I'm Brianga. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Bridge Capital, LLC without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Bridge Capital, LLC etc.

  Hello, Jenv Corre. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places, or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a COI may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic, and it is important when editing Wikipedia articles that such connections be completely transparent. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. In particular, we ask that you please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you and your family, friends, school, company, club, or organization, as well as any competing companies' projects or products;
  • instead, you are encouraged to propose changes on the Talk pages of affected article(s) (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • when discussing affected articles, disclose your COI (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or to the website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Please take a few moments to read and review Wikipedia's policies regarding conflicts of interest, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing and autobiographies. Thank you. Regards, HaeB (talk) 08:24, 13 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Regarding your question: Considering that an admin (Brianga) already rejected your earlier speedy deletion request, I don't think that a new one will be granted. You can try nominating the article for deletion via the normal (non-speedy) process described at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, but I'm not sure that will be successful either. Consider explaining on the article's talk page which parts of the article you find problematic, and for what reasons. Regards, HaeB (talk) 08:48, 13 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi HaeB! Done! I outlined the problematic parts and the reasons at the the article's talk page. Also, thank you for sending the links, I will check them. I thought I've already read enough but proved otherwise. Apologies again. Jenv Corre (talk) 09:08, 13 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, but I don't think many editors will find "information presented here are inaccurate" a sufficient rationale for removing an entire 150+ words paragraph that has five different citations. You will need to get more specific and point out which facts are wrong for what reason. (Text that is not supported by cited sources, on the other hand, can be challenged and removed for that reason alone, see WP:V.) Regards, HaeB (talk) 09:31, 13 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

  Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Conflict of interest

edit

It seems obvious that you have a conflict of interest with the Bridge Capital, LLC article. Are you being paid to edit the article, as I suspect? If so, you are required to disclose that. Please review Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. Specifically: "Anyone editing for pay must disclose who is paying them, who the client is, and any other relevant affiliation; this is a requirement of the Wikimedia Foundation."

If you continue to edit the article despite your conflict, I will recommend that your account be blocked.Brianga (talk) 18:11, 15 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

  • Answering your questions about this page, the page is simply too focused as an advertised business profile both in information and sources, nothing can inherit someone notability and these subjects are judged no differently about it; the sources are particularly simply announcements or notices and, wherever published, will not help for notability itself. It's essential that you acknowledge WP:What Wikipedia is not as it explains about unacceptable contents here, and also, if applicable, WP:Paid legal policy.   Hello Jenv Corre! Your additions to Draft:Reedley International School have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 15:46, 5 March 2022 (UTC)Reply
