Transport on Nevis

edit

Hi Jenson Morton, OK, I had a go at adding some stuff to that article and tidying it up a bit today, as you will see. I have also asked my friend on Nevis if he will look at it for me. He knows a lot more than I do. Thanks, Invertzoo (talk) 14:52, 8 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

A couple small suggestions

edit

Hi again Jenson Morton. Just wanted to say two things. First off, if you can try to remember to put a word or two in the edit summary when you add or change something on a page. And also when you leave a note on someone's talk page, if you could sign it by just typing four of these "~" at the end. Ok, thanks and good wishes Invertzoo (talk) 14:25, 15 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

List of E. Caribbean islands' indigenous names - why not expand it to all the Caribbean?

edit

Hello Jensonmorton. I stumbled across this article and wondered if it shouldn't be expanded. What do you think? It could easily be expanded, but as CaribDigita suggested on his/her talk page, it is probably best (out of courtesy) to run any fundamental changes by the page author (you) first (in case you had something planned for the page). All that would be needed would be to include the indigenous names for Cuba (Cubanacan or Coabana I think), Jamaica (Xaymaca), Hispaniola ("Haiti" and/or disputably "Quisqueya"), Puerto Rico (Borikén) and whatever indigenous names can be found for the various islands of the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos (together called the Lucayan archipelago) and the Virgin Islands.72.27.167.63 (talk) 06:24, 20 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

ENGLAND in "Middle Ages" article

edit

Go to discussion panel of the article.

Don't forget, Hungary had the third most populous country in medieval Europe. Its territory was bigger than France (Only HRE had bigger territory than medieval Hungary) Many Hungarian kings have larger inland revenue than the French or English kings. Sagittis hungarorum libera nos Domine" - "Lord save us from the arrows of Hungarians" It was a prevalent catholic prayer in the first half of the 10th century.--Etatsgererauksz (talk) 09:18, 30 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

I also noticed an over emphasis on England. England wasn't such a powerful country until the colonization of the modern period. I can understand that many modern Americans have pro-English cultural sentiment (without any real English ancestry), but it can cause the falsification of the importance of medieval England. Its little territory and population, its weak diplomacy and lower inland-revenues and army-size, suggest that medieval England wasn't so important as the article try to represent it. England's history must be shortened.--Etatsgererauksz (talk) 06:14, 30 March 2011 (UTC)Reply

Cameroon

edit

Hi! I hope you're enjoying Wikipedia. I noticed your edit on Cameroon where you removed a ref. This has resulted in a cite error on that page as you can see at the bottom of the article. This has occurred because it was a list-defined reference. If you remove a reference which is list-defined (and therefore has a name) and this is the only occurrence of that reference then please make sure that you go to the reflist and remove the definition. This will avoid the creation of a cite error. Incidentally that cite error is still there as I write. You may wish to remove it.  Jodosma  (talk) 19:21, 17 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Latin American 10,000 Challenge invite

edit

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Latin America/The 10,000 Challenge ‎ has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Argentina etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Latin American content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon. If you would like to see this happening for Latin America, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Latin America, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant!♦ --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 00:37, 27 October 2016 (UTC)Reply
