Article seems to use WP:FALSEBALANCE with some parts supporting/advertising the idea of boosting in games. The creator is a single-purpose account. A proper article on the subject would reflect the idea that it is generally seen as cheating and harms the experience of the vast majority of legitimate players. A article on the subject is definitely merited but if it is going to be written by an apparent stakeholder on the topic it goes against WP:NOTPROMO.

Language and tone issues aside, this is very poorly sourced. The article is written to cover aspects of a topic and the sources are sprinkled to support whatever they can. This leads to a lot of content which has nothing to do with actual boosting, like for example the entire "The evolution of multiplayer video games" section. This is not how WP:V and WP:NPOV works. The article should summarize what sources on the topic say first, thus producing a neutral objective summary of the topic as found in literature. This means not linking other tangential material that doesn't mention boosting per WP:SYNTH.

The actual content you would expect like "The advent of video game boosting services" doesn't even mention boosting and doesn't have any sources about it. Core description like "Types of video game boosting services" has no sources at all. The analysis in "Negative impacts of video game boosting services" makes many WP:OR statements about boosting, does not provide a source, but then adds generic content and sources that failing WP:SYNTH.

The topic is of interest, so it's likely we want to cover this. But this draft needs a fundamental rewrite. Firstly, gathering all the reliable sources (and a spot check of sources suggest few are) that actually discuss boosting. Then using only content from those to summarize what they say.

Look, I know what boosting is. I've played competitive video games like CSGO for years and have a lot of personal experience with people who are boosted. I understand this topic, and the tiny fraction of this draft really devoted to boosting is not properly sourced. Let me go ahead and drill down to specific tangible improvements you can make:

The section on "The evolution of multiplayer video games" is useless. Get rid of it. It is wholly unrelated to one's understanding of boosting. If anyone wants this in-depth level of detail, they can read Multiplayer video game#History. The lead of the article is sourced to a source that does not even mention boosting or the concept of matchmaking rank. "Massively Multiplayer Online Games and Well-Being: A Systematic Literature Review" is not an appropriate source to define the term "boosting" since it doesn't even use that term. Likewise for "The New Frontier of Esports and Gaming: A Scoping Meta-Review of Health Impacts and Research Agenda" or "The link between online gaming behaviour and unethical decision-making in emerging adults: the mediating roles of game cheating and moral disengagement". You need sources that discuss boosting to write an article about boosting in video games. Much like "The evolution of multiplayer video games" section, the draft goes into inordinate detail on topics tangentially relating to its core topic. Information on live streaming doesn't really have any relation to the subject of the article. There's a ton of unsourced information in general about boosting. Claims such as "Using video boosting games may lessen a gamer's passion and enthusiasm for the game as they need to be emotionally invested and maintain a uniform wavelength with its different stages" need sources which you haven't provided.

In a nutshell, the fundamental problem with this article is that it's been written to include as many sources as possible without having any of those sources actually be about the topic of this draft. You can't deal with a lack of sources about video game boosting by just talking about unrelated topics. You need real sources that are about boosting in video games. They can be news articles, tech websites, so on and so forth. Here's an article from IGN about boosting,[1] and here's another from a student newspaper (see WP:RSSM). [2] Here's a third from Vice. [3]. Go check out Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/Sources and use their custom Google search tool at [4] to find more sources. The sources exist and I believe you can find them; you don't have to use peer-reviewed academic journals.
