Nonsense of Mian Khel edit

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Mian Khel, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Mian Khel provides no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Mian Khel, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Ghurids edit

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. --Kansas Bear (talk) 00:39, 1 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Muhammad Khan Bangash, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Mughal (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). April 2015 edit

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. I've raised this at Khyber.org spam Dougweller (talk) 08:17, 11 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia and copyright edit

Hello Jawwad khan marwat, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your addition to Lohani has had to be removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Dougweller (talk) 08:18, 11 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Further copyright concerns edit

From what I can see, most of your edits and articles are made up of material copied directly from other sources. I've already deleted some as copyvio (copyright violation).

I'd like a quote from the source you give for "Lohanis , like other Lodi tribes, were originally inhabitants of Ghor. From Ghor they descended into Ghazni and engaged in pastoral pursuits.Due to conflict with neighboring Ghilzais, they migrated to Katawaz and from there they moved to the plains of Daman in 16th century. A big portion of the tribe migrated to India on invitation of Lodi Sultans of Delhi where they became the most prominent participants in the sultanate administration and army. During Ibrahim Lodi's reign, the Lohanis of south Bihar rebelled and carved out an independent kingdom for themselves which was later incorporated into Suri empire. In their homeland, conflict arose between Lohani clans over distribution of land and revenue of Daman tract and after some battles, the Marwat and Miya Khel clans of Lohani migrated from Daman to Lakki and DI Khan tracts respectively". Exactly what does the source say (you must have it as you've just added it as a source). Thanks. I'm guessing that you may thinking copying is ok. Dougweller (talk) 10:07, 11 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Nope, i wrote it in my own words, i put the summary of entire chapter in four lines. Any thing wrong with that? how is that copying?. The source is mentioned so that you know that whatever i am saying is based on authentic source.
Good. But a lot of your material is directly copied, which is why I asked. Please remember to sign with 4 tildes, eg ~~~~. Thanks. Dougweller (talk) 10:52, 11 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

more copyvio edit

Your edits here[1] are copied from[2]. Dougweller (talk) 10:40, 11 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Sir, Lohani/Nuhani is not India-related content. There is already a separate article for Lohana caste.

Not relevant to the problem about copyright violations, though. Dougweller (talk) 10:50, 11 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Copy right shouldnt be the problem as i acted on your previous notification and wrote a summary of 12 pages in 4 lines in my own words. Why you are giving me warning of copying?

Please look at the links, that was the article Ali_Mohammed_Khan where you edits of April 2014 were reverted by HistoryofIran. Dougweller (talk) 12:08, 11 April 2015 (UTC)Reply

Sir i would go through the guidelines and would follow it in future. But here comes the main problem. Ali Muhammad Khan and Muhammad Khan Bangash are not one and same person. Former was Rohilla leader of Rohilkhand and latter was Bangash nawab of farrukhabad. Why you editors are reverting the edits if you people dont have enough historical knowledge?

Afghan-Mughal Wars edit

Like a lot of editors, including me at one time, you may not understand our policies of WP:VERIFY and WP:NOTABILITY. You created an article which is list of 7 Afghan-Mughal Wars - what you need to show is that "Afghan-Mughal Wars" is a subject of discussion in sources meeting WP:RS, and that those sources list these 7 with the dates you gave them. Can you do this? Because if they aren't discussed in academic histories, then the subject fails WP:NOTABILITY and the article shouldn't exist (nor the others, 2 of which I've deleted because of copyright violations). You might consider getting a WP:MENTOR who could help guide you through our policies and guidelines and aid you in becoming a better editor. You are obviously trying to be a good Wikipedia editor, I don't doubt that. But you need help of a kind that I don't have time to give you. Dougweller (talk) 12:13, 11 April 2015 (UTC)Reply
