Overlinking edit

Hi, thanks for your work. But please note that common words and terms are not linked unless there's a very good reason to do so. See WP:MOSLINK. Tony (talk) 01:52, 10 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

There is a section above that already informs the user of this, although a little more tersely; I don't think they are paying attention.--Bbb23 (talk) 02:04, 10 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

María Luisa Sánchez Bustamante edit

Hi thanks for creating this article. When we translate or borrow from other language wikis it’s a requirement to acknowledge the source. The best way to do this is to include it in your edit summary (e.g. “translated from nl.wiki”) and there’s also a translation template you can add to the talk page. I’ve added it for you. Happy editing and please leave a message on my talk page if you need any help Mccapra (talk) 05:54, 11 September 2022 (UTC)Reply

Blocked for sockpuppetry edit

Wikipedia's technical logs indicate that this user account has been or may be used abusively per the evidence presented at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/JackWilkesMcCarthy. It has been blocked indefinitely from editing to prevent abuse.

Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you should review the guide to appealing blocks, and then appeal your block by adding the following text below this notice: {{unblock|Your reason here ~~~~}}. Note that anything you post in your unblock request will be public, so you may alternatively use the Unblock Ticket Request System to submit an appeal if it contains information that must be private.

Administrators: Checkusers have access to confidential system logs not accessible by the public or by administrators due to the Wikimedia Foundation's privacy policy. You must not loosen or remove this block, or issue an IP block exemption, without consulting with a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee. Administrators who undo checkuser blocks without permission from a checkuser or the Arbitration Committee may be summarily desysopped.

Request reason:

Hello, I am indeed JackWilkesMcCarthy, Uoftears, and Boliviano1952. While at first I did not understand what Sockpuppetry meant, now I understand completely what I have been banned for. I acknowledge what I did was wrong. All I can do know I ask for a second chance. Truthfully, I have not read most of Wikipedia’s guidelines. If given a second chance, I will be careful and mindful of what I do. Furthermore, I still want to contribute to Wikipedia. Bolivian history is such a neglected area that I hope to contribute. Especially to the biographies of Bolivian presidents and creating pages for historical events. I have a passion for this topic and I would like spread more information about it. My other account, Boliviano1952, I mostly used to publish media related to Bolivian history and some of my own work. I want to continue contributing. All I want is to be part of the community and contribute. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, JackWilkesMcCarthy/Boliviano1952/Uoftears.

Decline reason:

This account was blocked on 9 November 2022. A clear message was left above. Yet, on 28 December 2022, you created new account Urieldiaz11 to evade the block. Your claim that you did not understand what Sockpuppetry meant is thus false. You were blocked and explained what is the problem, yet you decided to evade the block. Now, your only option is the WP:STANDARD OFFER. Vanjagenije (talk) 16:39, 18 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
