Vandalism warning

edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although we invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to Llama, was not constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. --BlindEagletalk~contribs 12:27, 10 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please accept my apologizes. I mistakenly tagged your edit as vandalism. Although your reference to a poem is well within the bounds of an encyclopedia, it has nothing to do with the Llama animal beyond reference. You may find another page that is more closely aligned with your reference here. --BlindEagletalk~contribs 15:34, 16 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Talk Pages

edit

With every article comes a talk page. With the Llama article it is Talk:Llama. Here you can discuss anything relating to the article. You'll notice that on occasion that anonymous folks have added some real garbage to the talk page. I have tried to revert most of it. But, it does slip through. By posting your question to the talk page, you allow others interested in the topic to discuss it openly. --BlindEagletalk~contribs 21:43, 16 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Dickson McCunn

edit

The article Dickson McCunn has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fictional character from a book, that does not seem to meet the rules and policies for having an article

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Mtking (talk) 00:49, 1 April 2011 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm StAnselm. I wanted to let you know that I removed an external link you added to the page Parable of the Good Samaritan, because it seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. Chengdu Science Fiction Museum moved to draftspace

edit

Unfortunately, an article you recently created Chengdu Science Fiction Museum, is not ready as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage with citations from reliable and independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. I've moved your article to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's WP:GNG guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. M.Ashraf333 (talk) 14:04, 31 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

I am well aware that the article is minimal - but I do not own the copyright of the additional material I should like to include.
But I do regard it as important that the Museum is available, even as a stub, on English Wikipedia. The World Science Fiction Convention is scheduled to take place there in October of this year and so far the Chinese organisers have provided very little information on the venue (in English - I do not read or speak Chinese - but at least 1,000 non-Chinese visitors have already bought memberships and most of them will be Anglophones). Since it is under construction it is not yet in any guides or on any maps and peaople hoping to travel are suffering for lack of information. My stub at the very least allows them to determine how accessible the venue is.
I hope that both the Convention Organisers, and the Architects of the Museum will respond to the Wikipedia stub by expanding it, but they cannot do so if it is not there.
Please advise me what additional material you see as a minimum to repost it - I can provide references from the Convention and from the Architects' websites. What else do you consider necessary?
In the meantime, since I have already emailed the Architects and the Convention Organisers, I should be grateful if you would consider reposting my stub so that they can find it when they read my emails. JMBryant (talk) 14:43, 31 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
