Userpage not okay?

I really don't care that much if my userpage is deleted or not, however my userpage was really a small introduction of myself. I look at your userpage and it looks really cool to be honest, as it mostly gives a nice introduction of you. I am merely doing the same and don't know why my userpage needs to be removed. Your signature

Hey, looks like you've copied my signature character for character. Not to reprimand you in any way (mine was inspired by User:Qwerfjkl), but it seems a bit on the verge of impersonation (see WP:SIGFORGE). Could you please at least alter the colours - so it doesn't look identical save for the text and userpage link? Thanks. Silikonz (alt)💬 00:06, 8 January 2023 (UTC)

Done, thanks for reaching out to me. I came across this user who was using exactly the same signature, so I thought it wouldn't be that big of a deal, but it's all good.

Hey, thanks for this. Could you please inform me who is the user you mentioned who is using exactly the same signature? Thanks. Silikonz (alt)💬 21:12, 8 January 2023 (UTC)

Please take care

Your tagging of speedy on user pages has led to some troubles, a lot of editors are making complains here. Please take care, I suggest leave the user page alone unless you are really sure that is a U5.

Still, happy editing. Lemonaka (talk) 17:55, 3 January 2023 (UTC)

Seconded. There's nothing wrong with limited autobiographical content or anecdotes on a userpage – WP:CSD#U5 is intended for more egregious issues such as promotional content (for which G11 is usually preferable), content that would belong on a blog or social media, and other content described at WP:UPNOT. Please be mindful of this. Complex/Rational 18:00, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
Understood. Thanks for your advice!  Waqar  (talk) 18:04, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
I agree. I just attended a "intro to wikipedia" workshop yesterday. I was told my user page was for basic biographical information about myself, but this morning I find it deleted for self promotion? It literally just said who I was and I was, my credentials, and where I work. You could have just made a post on my talk page explaining what I could have updated on my user page instead of just deleting the whole thing. This is not a good way to welcome new users to the community, in my opinion. Srappel (talk) 16:32, 11 January 2023 (UTC)

Help needed with disruptive banned vandal

Hello Waqar I am not sure if you remember but a sockpuppet of a banned user named Prince of Roblox [1] has returned this sock edits food, Kashmir and Pakistan based edits and inserts a pro Indian point of view. You met them here on Bun Kebab article [2].

They have created a new account now called AndBoysJustWannaHaveFun this is the link to there edits [3] same edits on food claiming them all as Indian and on topics of Kashmir adding pro Indian stance can you please report and keep an eye out on these articles as they always come back after a week or two hoping people will forget. I cant file a sock puppet report because you need to have an account. I appreciate your help. 2A02:C7C:6782:7A00:1511:90B2:948B:5676 (talk) 05:47, 11 January 2023 (UTC)

Done, thank you so much for bringing this to my attention. I do remember them, and I was actively looking out for these accounts. They are creating a lot of mess and ruining pages all over Wikipedia. I thought they'd stop, but they apparently didn't. I really appreciate you helping me, and I will try my best to stop these sockpuppet accounts from ruining the articles. Waqar💬 07:40, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
No problem my friend thank you for filing the report just for your information you are able to revert all the edits made by a sock account based in this policy [4] WP Ban revert so all of their edits are in violation you do not need to explain yourself in the edit summary just state sock ban revert or quote the article I posted above. Take care and if I find more I will let you know. 2A02:C7C:6782:7A00:1511:90B2:948B:5676 (talk) 08:04, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
Hey, no problem. That is something I will definitely do. Thanks! Waqar💬 09:05, 11 January 2023 (UTC)

Estabrook Woods

Thanks for your note re reverting an external link. First, you reverted the entire section I added about access controversy to Estabrook Woods (including a bunch of reliable citations). Did you intend to do so, and if so, why?

Second, you reverted an external link to the only trail map I could find that includes the controversial (and now public) access point. The Tail map previously posted has been edited to omit this access point and therefore is not adequate to access Estabrook Woods via it's primary access point. The link I provided did duplicate a citation. Is that the cause of concern? I reviewed the external links guidelines and could not find the violation.

Thanks for your effords. WhirledWideWeb (talk) 20:09, 11 January 2023 (UTC)

Hey, I was reverting an external link that you added to the page because of the double citation, but unfortunately your previous edit, in which you added a new section, got reverted as well. Sorry for any inconvenience. I will reinstate your edits. Waqar💬 20:24, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
I'm happy to address the reference to the interactive trail map as both a citation and an external link, but I'm not sure how. I suppose I could just remove the citation, which would leave it to the user to find the trail map in the external links. Is that preferable? WhirledWideWeb (talk) 20:32, 11 January 2023 (UTC)
Yeah, it would be okay! Waqar💬 21:45, 11 January 2023 (UTC)

AIV

Hi, I do appreciate your reports at AIV lately and you're doing some great work combatting vandalism. I just wanted to ask you to slow down a bit. Not everything needs to come straight to AIV. These are all rules of thumb and all have exceptions but in general:

  • we won't block someone for their first-ever edit (a series of edits made in one go and being reverted in one go can be considered one edit);
  • vandals should be warned first (there's no need to start at level 1 for something that's clearly bad faith), and shouldn't be reported to AIV until they've vandalised after a level 3 warning;
  • IPs in particular should be active at the time of the report unless it's a static IP with a long history
  • use your judgement on how quickly to escalate to AIV: obviously things like libel and gross racism need to be reported quickly but more routine silly vandalism doesn't need to be escalated as quickly and you can give more warnings .
  • things that aren't vandalism or spam, like socking or edit warring, belong elsewhere. AIV is for cases so obvious an admin can make a decision and act on it in seconds without any discussion or community involvement.

As I say, there are exceptions to every rule but AIV quickly gets backlogged if people submit reports that aren't immediately actionable so please bear these in mind so that the reports you submit can be dealt with quickly. Hello Iwaqarhashmi. Your account has been granted the "rollbacker" and "pending changes reviewer" user rights. These user rights allow you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes and quickly revert the edits of other users.

Rollback user right

Please keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
Pending changes reviewer user right

The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection enabled is located at Special:StablePages. You may find the following pages useful to review:

Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of reviewer or rollback. If you no longer want either of these user rights, contact me and I'll remove it, alternatively you can leave a request on the administrators' noticeboard. Happy editing! Tagging pages for speedy deletion

Hello, Iwaqarhashmi,

Please stop tagging User pages for speedy deletion. They only had the editor's name on them! This is not inappropriate content for a User page. This is not what CSD U5 is meant for. Please review the criteria at WP:CSD THOROUGHLY and do not be so eager to tag pages for deletion or you will be asked to stop doing any deletion tagging at all. You are still a very new editor. Liz Read! Talk! 05:55, 14 January 2023 (UTC)

@Liz, I'm sorry, but that's not the case. I tagged the user page for speedy deletion under Section G11 because of the website they linked to their user page, which had nothing to do with Wikipedia; it was a promotional website. You might want to check their user page again. Thanks! Waqar💬 06:00, 14 January 2023 (UTC)
because of the website they linked to their user page, which had nothing to do with Wikipedia; it was a promotional website – kind of exactly like you do on your own userpage? ––FormalDude (talk) 07:21, 14 January 2023 (UTC)
@FormalDude I appreciate you checking out my user page, but I'm sure you must have seen a lot of content and information related to my work on Wikipedia and not just a promotional website without any contributions to Wikipedia. Waqar💬 07:28, 14 January 2023 (UTC)
@Liz @FormalDude look, if you guys don't want me on Wikipedia, just say so. It's not a great way to treat new users, and I don't feel comfortable around here anyway. Waqar💬 07:33, 14 January 2023 (UTC)
Nobody has said that, but if you're not comfortable receiving normal feedback about your edits, this may indeed not be the best site for you. ––FormalDude (talk) 08:55, 14 January 2023 (UTC)
You guys are bullying me for doing something that wasn't wrong. That's why I'm not feeling comfortable. Waqar💬 09:09, 14 January 2023 (UTC)
Check out the pages I marked for deletion to see why I'm right. @Yuman solanki, page was previously deleted under "U5: Misuse of Wikipedia as a Web Host," but when they recreated it and I tagged it, they blanked it rather than deleting it, and what happened next is they added the same social media link and vandalized an article on Wikipedia, which was reverted by the bot. @ArseinRubika, they didn't even see the tag properly that I placed on the user page or what the page contained. It wasn't a U5 tag but a G11 for linking a website under their name, but they said they only had a name added to their user page "not a website" and it wasn't inappropriate for a user page. Freedom to Read

Please reconsider the draft-to-mainspace of Freedom to Read. It seems well-sourced and is listed as one of the D.C. public artworks. Thanks. Randy Kryn (talk) 09:12, 11 May 2024 (UTC)

@Randy Kryn I agree that the "Freedom to Read" sculpture seems well-sourced, with information likely coming from a credible source about D.C. public artworks.
However, for Wikipedia, notability is a key criterion for having a separate article. While the sculpture is interesting, it's possible it might not meet the notability threshold yet. This is just my opinion, and other reviewers might have a different take.
The best course of action would be to encourage the submitter to refine the draft further. Perhaps including additional details about the artist, the sculpture's design or historical significance, or its reception within the D.C. community could strengthen the notability argument. With a more robust draft, it might gain approval from other reviewers. Thanks! Waqar💬 14:22, 11 May 2024 (UTC)
Thanks for your response. This was the first I'd seen of the article, and noticed it seemed well sourced and qualified as a visual arts article about a sculpture. Notability in artworks, I would think, would be automatically achieved when adequate sourcing is achieved. But I'm not sure where the line is "officially" drawn on artworks, so would like to bother, I mean call in, editors with lots of experience in visual arts pages, Another Believer and Johnbod. I like the reading aspect of the statue, seems unique in some ways, especially for D.C. which has a lot of statues and articles about statues. Randy Kryn (talk) 03:10, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
Just noticed the photograph is up for deletion. Can someone move a copy to English Wikipedia and fill out one of those fair-use forms? Thanks. That should be a policy at Commons. Randy Kryn (talk) 03:28, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
I appreciate your clarification! The article does show promise, and it's great that you're proactive in strengthening the article.
Also you're right that notability for established works of art can sometimes be more flexible.
For the visual arts expertise, calling in editors is a perfect idea. Their experience will definitely be valuable in refining the article's focus on the sculpture's unique aspects within the D.C. art scene. Waqar💬 09:05, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
Thanks. I think the main thing right now is to save the photograph from being deleted at Commons without a copy available on English Wikipedia. Randy Kryn (talk) 11:21, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
Unfortunately, the image might get deleted from Commons due to copyright concerns. This can happen if the image doesn't have a clear license granting permission for its use on Wikipedia. Waqar💬 14:06, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
Possibly notable. I'd guess 50/50 at Afd at present. In theory, adding material rather than better sources doesn't make it any more notable. Isn't there a DC project to ask? Johnbod (talk) 01:22, 13 May 2024 (UTC)

I have the papers from archives from 1912 and 1936 etc they’re not on the internet, I’m happy to send them to you so you can add citations ? im a boxing coach not IT wizard so your help would be appreciated ? Box32 (talk) 14:52, 13 May 2024 (UTC)

Wikipedia relies on published, reliable sources that are available online for everyone to see. This allows other editors to verify the information and ensure accuracy. Unfortunately, unpublished archival documents wouldn't qualify. But you could try searching for published sources that corroborate the information in your archival papers. Waqar💬 15:05, 13 May 2024 (UTC)
Hi, I had this draft on my watchlist after the user was asking me for help with it yesterday. You're rejecting it as not adequately supported by reliable sources, but it has several print newspapers listed in the references. Is there a reason to doubt the reliability of those sources? Belbury (talk) 08:28, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
Thank you for reaching out about this draft. I do see several print newspapers as references and they can be reliable sources, but unfortunately, many of the references listed aren't readily available online for verification. This makes it difficult to assess their credibility and ensure the information is accurate and unbiased. Additionally, the draft's tone seems to lean a bit towards advertisement, it should be presented in a more neutral and factual manner. The draft has been resubmitted multiple times without incorporating the reviewers' feedback, and they also removed the decline templates and comments. Waqar💬 09:01, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
I'm not familiar with the draft decline process, perhaps it's just a list of checkboxes, but it sounds like the user needs to be given more nuanced feedback here, if (assuming good faith that the newspapers say what is claimed) the sources are reliable and would adequately support the article, but just can't be confirmed by the reviewer. I don't know what the next step should actually be there.
Fair enough on the tone issues. Belbury (talk) 10:32, 14 May 2024 (UTC)
Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately, I haven't been able to verify any of the listed references except for one. This makes it difficult to fully trust the source material. Since I've reviewed the draft multiple times, I think it would be best for another reviewer to take a look and a new perspective could help reach a clear decision. Waqar💬 16:22, 14 May 2024 (UTC)

Hello @Iwaqarhashmi, I have now added further sources to my draft and thus strengthened the arguments with sources. Does this article fit now? If not, could you help me or point out the deficiencies in more detail? Xelîlê Zozan (talk) 20:17, 13 May 2024 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know. I appreciate the additional effort you've put into strengthening your arguments with sources. Please feel free to resubmit your draft, and it will be reviewed thoroughly to see if it meets the acceptance criteria. Waqar💬 07:44, 14 May 2024 (UTC)

@Iwaqarhashmi: Hello, I have edited my draft, I was wondering what exactly I would need to add for it to be published?

Request on 09:29:03, 16 May 2024 for assistance on AfC submission by Ryotakatsuki

@Iwaqarhashmi: First of all, thanks a lot for taking the time in reviewing my changes. I tried to fill up as much information as I could to provide reliable sources but I'm not sure if they do not qualify as reliable or that I missed any reference. Could you check if the latest edit status is correct or, if not, pointing me to one specific source that may be problematic so I can review that and the rest and try to solve the issue? Thanks! The Kidnapping and Assassination of Chester Bitterman

Thank you for the quick review of my submission. You declined it with the comment: 'This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified.' I am perplexed at this reasoning, as there are some 108 references, all from published and verifiable sources. Most of them are originally published in Spanish but all are immediately available in their full text by the links I have provided. With so many reliable, free-to-use translation services available, the question of 'verification' is now simple and easy. Is it that you did not see the references? If you did, in what way are they not reliable and verifiable? They come from mainstream books, periodicals and newspapers ranging from the New York Times to El Tiempo in Colombia. Since the crime was committed in Colombia it is logical that the main supporting documents should primarily (though not exclusively) be in Spanish. Again, thank you for your engagement. I hope now to hear a clear explanation for your declining my submission. C.bonsin (talk) 20:27, 17 May 2024 (UTC)

I understand your frustration. It's great that you included so many references in your draft. The issue lies in how the references are formatted, they just need to be cited properly. Thanks! Waqar💬 20:38, 17 May 2024 (UTC)
Thank you. I'll review them one by one and correct citations where needed. Then resubmit. C.bonsin (talk) 20:54, 17 May 2024 (UTC)

Tagging pages for deletion

Hello, Iwaqarhashmi,

If you are going to be patrolling newly created articles in main space, please follow the New Page Patroller's rule of thumb: Do not tag pages for deletion for at least an hour after they have been created and do not tag articles for deletion that are being actively edited by the content creator. For example, you tagged Maryam Umar Maigida for speedy deletion about 10 minutes after the article creator had made one edit to the page. One edit is not enough time to allow an article creator to create, develop and reference articles that are up to Wikipedia standards. If you have created articles, I'm sure you understand the time and attention necessary to create an acceptable article. Unfortunately, some editors do not use Draft space or their sandbox and create articles directly in the main space of the project. If all the article is missing is to demonstrate the notability of the subject, it's better to Draftify the article, placing a notification on the talk page of the article creator, than tag an article for CSD A7 speedy deletion. There are several scripts that exist that make this process very easy and simple to do.

Of course, if the content is unacceptable, if it violates copyright or BLP guidelines, if it is an attack page or vandalism, then there is no need to wait to tag it for deletion. But if an article just needs some attention and editing, please allow the content creator time to complete it, especially if they are currently editing the page. Thank you for your consideration to your fellow editors. Liz Read! Talk! 20:14, 18 May 2024 (UTC)

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. You're absolutely right that a single edit isn't enough time for an article creator to develop a well-referenced Wikipedia entry. In the future, I will strictly follow the New Page Patroller's guidelines. My purpose is to assist in maintaining Wikipedia's quality, and that includes fostering a positive editing environment. I will prioritize allowing editors the chance to improve their contributions. Thank you again for your feedback. It helps me become a more helpful and responsible participant in the Wikipedia community. Waqar💬 20:26, 18 May 2024 (UTC)

Deletion of page

Hello. You recently had a page deleted for an author but there was no explanation. A request to review was sent. Everything written in the article was done as it explained in the instructions, but as soon more links were added to further verify the author the page was deleted. can you explain exactly what the issue was? Businessguys2024 (talk) 07:52, 23 May 2024 (UTC)

The issue with your deleted author page was most likely that it contained promotional content. Wikipedia has strict policies against using the platform for self-promotion or promotion of others. Waqar💬 08:12, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
Ok. The links i provide are to make sure there is notoriety. It does get a bit confusing because we need to show the accolades and proof of published work but yet we have to make sure its not appearing to be promotional. Is there something we can pull out or fix? Businessguys2024 (talk) 08:17, 23 May 2024 (UTC)

I was in the process of adding changes and proper links to the page to make sure sources were correct and able to be validated. It was erased within 5 minutes after my first edit. I still was working on the page to make sure it complies. Businessguys2024 (talk) 08:12, 23 May 2024 (UTC)

Here's the thing: userpages on Wikipedia are not for writing articles about other people. They're meant to be a space for you to showcase your contributions to Wikipedia, such as your edit history, interests related to editing, and any awards or recognitions you've received for your contributions. However, Wikipedia pages are for factual information about notable subjects where you can create a draft article about the person. Thanks! Waqar💬 08:26, 23 May 2024 (UTC)

Ok thank you for your reply. Keep in mind every thing in the article was factual which was why it was made sure that every thing that was stated in the article had a link. As an Author or anyone of notoriety they have to have a story other than “they were born.. and then they became an author.” The back story to CM james was to tell how he became an author and what he did before. And other things have to be told beforehand which some of those things also need links to verify to make show its not made up. The article didn’t get flagged until we went back and made sure we had cited the city and his google business page. Again that was because i’m under the impression everything should be cited that we possibly can. Not to promote a book nor a business but to give a clear article about a person and how he transitioned into an award winning author. I’ve viewed multiple author pages for weeks to make sure we left no stone unturned. Again i appreciate your responses. Its sometimes hard to get a response from an any organization. You represent wiki well. I was just trying to fully understand how does an article suppose to tell of someone without promoting them if you all need cites and valid links, which provided to the article. Raja Shafqat Khan Abbasi

Hello - can I ask why you declined this AFC?Saqib (talk I contribs) 09:12, 23 May 2024 (UTC)

Thank you for reaching out. I couldn't find any sufficient evidence to demonstrate the politician's notability other than their position in the Provincial Assembly of Punjab. The article in Simple English Wikipedia also faced similar notability concerns regarding this politician and was deleted recently [6]. However, your efforts to expand the article are really commendable. The resulting article is much more informative and engaging. Thanks! Waqar💬 13:51, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
Look - the draft had pretty solid RS which should've been enough to show the subject met the WP:N - even if I hadn't expanded on it much And just because a similar article got deleted on another language WP doesn't automatically mean you should decline it here, too. Let's make sure you're using the reviewer tools carefully and not just turning down every draft you see.Saqib (talk I contribs) 14:02, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
I apologize if my decision came across as dismissive. I can assure you I don't decline drafts without careful review. I'll be even more mindful in the future. Waqar💬 14:35, 23 May 2024 (UTC)

Follow up:

Just checking back to see if there was an explanation how exactly the article created was “not factual” I’m not able to access it on wiki because it was deleted but fortunately I have it saved. After reviewing it one last time to see if there was any misleading information, non was found. I then checked for anything that portrayed it as being promotional; the only things that were in the article and linked were things that were only done so to verify the authors validity, not to promote a brand or business. Just to show the legitimacy showing everything stated can be verified. Businessguys2024 (talk) 10:37, 23 May 2024 (UTC)

Wikipedia has a high standard for notability. Just being an author might not be enough. You can create a draft of the article using the Wikipedia:Article_wizard. There, you can include all the information you have, with links to verifiable sources like interviews, published works, or award wins. The draft will be reviewed by experienced editors who can help ensure it meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines and factual accuracy. Thanks! Waqar💬 14:00, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
And it seems like you're just churning out these AI-generated messages without really getting into the nitty-gritty of what Businessguys2024 (talk · contribs) was actually talking about.Saqib (talk I contribs) 14:15, 23 May 2024 (UTC)

AFC decline

I came across Draft:Lavett Ballard earlier which was declined by you. Could you please explain why you feel the provided references are not reliable? Primefac (talk) 13:10, 23 May 2024 (UTC)

Primefac, Seems like this dude's hitting the decline button on every other draft.Saqib (talk I contribs) 14:11, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
I apologize for the inconvenience caused by the decline of Draft:Lavett Ballard. The references provided themselves are reliable sources, the issue I encountered was due to improper formatting of them. The red error tags make it difficult for anyone to assess their credibility. However, OIM20 has properly fixed the formatting issues in the draft. Waqar💬 14:19, 23 May 2024 (UTC)

Misuse of reviewer rights?

I was checking out your reviews, and I noticed you only gave the green light to just one draft (Baddies season 5), which was seriously lacking in sources. Just wondering, what made you approve that one while rejecting the ones with better sourcing?Saqib (talk I contribs) 14:37, 23 May 2024 (UTC)

In approving drafts, I consider many factors, including writing style, clarity, and factual accuracy. The information was accurate and well-presented. Waqar💬 14:52, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
Your reviewing approach is very OFF. You're scaring away newbies with all those declines. Drafts are bound to be rough because they're made by beginners. And you're shooting down drafts that easily meet WP:N. You need to rethink how you're handling reviewing rights.Saqib (talk I contribs) 15:03, 23 May 2024 (UTC)
I apologize if I was overly critical, I promise I will be careful in the future. Waqar💬 15:06, 23 May 2024 (UTC)

Stella (Trane) Jackson

Hello. I would like to point out that all of the newspaper articles mentioned in this draft are strictly talking about Stella (Trane) Jackson and her life story, which is where we got our information. Adsimmel (talk) 15:30, 28 May 2024 (UTC)

Unfortunately, verifying the information can be challenging since the mentioned newspaper articles don't appear to be readily available online, making independent confirmation difficult.
Would it be possible to find alternative sources like @Qcne said? Waqar💬 15:39, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
You may be able to find copies on an online newspaper archive? Qcne (talk) 15:40, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
All of the newspaper articles are in the La Crosse library archives. If I were to include this site in my reference list would that satisfy? Adsimmel (talk) 15:52, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
@Iwaqarhashmi I'm of the opinion that if this is submitted again with those sources being offline, we'll just have to wait for a reviewer to get access to the sources to verify. This may take several months. I'd be happy to add some context to the submission. What do you think? Qcne (talk) 16:08, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
@Qcne I absolutely agree. Adding context to the submission upfront would be very helpful for the reviewer, and also, waiting for access to the sources is a reasonable approach, even if it takes some time. Waqar💬 16:47, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
So what does this mean for my next submission? Do I submit what I have now? Maybe include a reference to the library archives? Or do I need to wait on something? Adsimmel (talk) 17:06, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
@Adsimmel, you don't have to submit right now. While you can submit what you have so far, it would be beneficial to strengthen your draft with additional sources before resubmitting. Consider including references from the library archives or alternative sources to make the review process much smoother for everyone involved. Waqar💬 17:18, 28 May 2024 (UTC)
I've added a comment to the draft, @Adsimmel. You can submit and a reviewer with access to those archives may come along in a few months to review it. If you can find the clippings on one of the many online newspaper archives (even ones you have to pay to access), then even better. Qcne (talk) 17:53, 28 May 2024 (UTC)

Please define what you believe to be "reliable" sources when dealing with an existing theater built in 1947 on virginias eastern shore in a town with a population of 3000 residents? Orison TV

This draft appears to be part of some sort of hoax. Your decline of the draft is correct because, even if everything in the draft is true (which I don't think it is), the station's own web site (if it is their web site) is not an independent source. Robert McClenon (talk) 18:58, 31 May 2024 (UTC)

I agree with you completely. That's why I didn't rely on the station's website either. Waqar💬 19:56, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
The registration of the station's web site isn't in Canada. It is a location in Reykjavik with some of the information redacted. Robert McClenon (talk) 20:43, 31 May 2024 (UTC)
Thank you for bringing this information to my attention. The lack of independent verification, combined with the station's own website, raises some serious red flags. Waqar💬 06:47, 1 June 2024 (UTC)

Sir, it's our humble request to not decline. We are from the same organisation whose page and content we are adding. We are the original source of Information. GokulChristo (talk) 17:23, 3 June 2024 (UTC)

I understand your request, but for the draft to be accepted, it's essential to cite references from reliable sources. Waqar💬 17:31, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
I would have left further reviews for another reviewer. You are not wrong to re-review it, but I feel best practice is once, just perhaps twice. There is a risk of our alienating a new editor instead of helping them.
We have no guarantee that they will listen, nor that we will be understood, but I feel we must try. I've left a comment in the draft, intended, perhaps hoped, to be helpful. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 17:40, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
I agree with your approach, it's definitely best practice to limit reviews, especially for a new editor. We want to provide constructive feedback that helps them learn and grow, but bombarding them with declines could be overwhelming.
Your comment in the draft sounds well-intentioned, and hopefully it will be received positively. Thanks! Waqar💬 18:28, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
