A dead link does not invalidate a source

Just because a link goes dead, that does not invalidate it as a source. Yes, it may be more difficult to verify the information (we need to turn to web archives and the like), but dead links are still usable as sources. —C.Fred (talk) 16:10, 26 October 2014 (UTC)

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

• make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
• Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license.
