Welcome! edit

Hi, Yeryry, Welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope you like this place — I sure do — and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the five pillars of Wikipedia. If you need help on how to title new articles check out the naming conventions, and for help on formatting the pages visit the manual of style. If you need help look at Wikipedia:Help and the FAQ , plus if you can't find your answer there, check the Village Pump (for Wikipedia related questions) or the Reference Desk (for general questions)! There's still more help at the Tutorial and Policy Library. Plus, don't forget to visit the Community Portal. And if you have any more questions after that, feel free to post them on my user talk page.

Additional tips edit

Here's some extra tips to help you get around in the 'pedia!

  • If you want to play around with your new Wiki skills the Sandbox is for you.
  • You can sign your name using three tildes (~). If you use four, you can add a datestamp too.
  • You may want to add yourself to the new user log.
  • If you ever think a page or image should be deleted, please list it at the votes for deletion page. There is also a votes for undeletion page if you want to retrieve something that you think should not have been deleted.
  • If you're still entirely confused, or would like to get a better grasp of your wikipedia skills, and you have an IRC client (or don't mind getting one), check out the Bootcamp. It's not what it sounds like, but it is fun and can help you with your editing skills.
  • If you're bored and want to find something to do, try the Random page button in the sidebar, or check out the Open Task message in the Community Portal.

Happy Wiki-ing. edit

October 2016 edit

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Annabelle (doll)‎: you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Auric talk 20:08, 11 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Barra brava edit

Hi, I am translating the article from Spanish to English with help of Google's translator (I don't know English very well). In the Spanish article there are many references. Maybe you can correct misspellings. Thank you.--Giaco (talk) 15:36, 24 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

@Meters: Heh, nice coincidence... As I had seen several of this type of page before, I was in the middle of seeing if I could find the others to take to SPI. I'll see if I can find any that aren't already listed there. Thanks! Yeryry (talk) 16:51, 6 May 2017 (UTC)Reply
This is the first one I have noticed for a while, but they usually come in clusters. I think it's actually a scam to get people to phone the number, since I have seen cases where the same number shows up for completely different supposed help lines. Meters (talk) 16:55, 6 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

HH Kratu Das ji Maharaj edit

The page hh kratu das ji maharaj is a copy of what is on the website because the information aof the person event and facts are same. Also the same information is there on the third party website quoted under reference section.

I hope that justifies the reason of duplication of content. Let me know if i shall reframe the content?

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Manjeet2yadav (talkcontribs) 16:55, 5 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Manjeet2yadav: No, the content needs to be written by you for Wikipedia, not copied from somewhere else. You can (and should) get the facts from reliable sources, but not the wording. Please read Wikipedia:Your first article carefully before creating any more articles. Yeryry (talk) 18:22, 5 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of ACHARYA DEVENDRA NATH SHARMA edit

The site is owned by the the son of Acharya Devendra Nath Sharma and the page is also being created by him. His name is Dr. Vinaysheel Gautam. Let me know if you need any kind of authorization from him. Both father and son are known personality in public domain, please let me know what needs to be done for this page to be created. If Dr. Vainaysheel Gautam needs to verify over phone or over email he is willing to do so, if he needs to authorize the ownership of the website we can do that too. Please help.

Regards JayJay.nibiru (talk) 10:15, 15 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

@Jay.nibiru: For the authorization you're talking about, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials, but material from other sites is unlikely to be written in the way Wikipedia requires, and in this case it would need a lot of editing to become suitable, so starting again on Wikipedia may be easier than trying to adapt existing writing. Please read Wikipedia:Your first article carefully, and then go to Wikipedia:Article wizard and take the time to read each step there. If you are asked to choose between creating a draft and a new article, choose draft, as this is less likely to be deleted if there are still problems. Yeryry (talk) 10:45, 15 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
