Hellocbgb/sandbox moved to draftspace
editAn article you recently created, Hellocbgb/sandbox, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. - The purpose of this page is to document the history of Rover Girls; although Rover Girls is referenced in the history of Lush, as yet the story of Rover Girls has not been printed. I was the band's manager and am documenting the as yet undocumented events. Hellocbgb (talk) 18:07, 13 December 2022 (UTC)
- Okay, understood.
- However, based on what you say, you clearly have a conflict of interest (COI) regarding this topic. I will post a message below with instructions on how to handle this.
- Best, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 19:23, 13 December 2022 (UTC)
- As manager I merely booked a few gigs and booked the recording session mentioned in the article. This band was not a money making concern. The purpose of the article is to share a few facts about a band that may be of interest to historians of Lush and Silverfish. Hellocbgb (talk) 19:48, 13 December 2022 (UTC)
- It doesn't matter that this wasn't a "money making concern". You could be writing about your uncle, and that would constitute a COI because you have an external relationship with the subject; money doesn't come into it. Just please trust me on this and formally disclose your COI, so you're not in (or even at risk of) violation of the policy. Thanks, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 20:00, 13 December 2022 (UTC)

Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Hellocbgb. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page Draft:Rover Girls, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam#External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. DoubleGrazing (talk) 19:24, 13 December 2022 (UTC)

- Hi, Will someone please check this page again? Hellocbgb (talk) 07:34, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
- No, nobody will "check this page" until you resubmit it for another review. Although if I'm honest, you needn't bother, because as it stands with only one source listed (and whether or not it's "fake", it certainly is pretty useless), it has no chance of being accepted.
- Please read and understand the WP:GNG notability guideline, which a subject must meet before it can be included in the encyclopaedia. This requires significant coverage in multiple independent and reliable secondary sources (such as newspapers, books, TV or radio programmes, etc.).
- Please also see WP:REFB for advice on referencing.
- And finally, please read and respond to the 'Managing a conflict of interest' section I posted earlier on this page. Thank you, -- DoubleGrazing (talk) 09:01, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
